Very good breakfast. Beautiful environment and setting, period architecture. Our room was very comfortable.
As in many places in South Africa, no blind curtains, which means light comes in the room. Also, no buzzer or ring, so try to call before you arrive to make sure the owner can open the gate, otherwise you’ll end up shouting (public disturbance) or walking around the block (pointless) as we did.

Friendly hosts
We were not aware that there was no back up power during load shedding (which we had the whole evening as well as the next morning). The house is more dated than what the pictures showed, with the narrowest staircase, making it challenging to get the luggage upstairs. Breakfast was from 8-9 am, which was too late for us as we had to travel the next day, we had to leave without as much as a cup of coffee.
