Fantastic traditional ryokan with in house onsen and in a great location for the local sights. Come with a good appetite for the multi-course breakfasts and suppers.

The small private sulfur spri g outdoor bath was wonderful. The locafion is vdry near Hell valley and other volcanic sights. The staff wete friendly and helpful.
The cover on the futon was too hot for summer weather. There wete no lockers for vlothing and key in tbe women's onsen

Good location, very traditional ryokan, nice staff, good traditional meals in room (no western options for breakfast though)
Dated facility, unaesthetic onsen and cumbersome shoe check snd car key check procedures
