Great location within walking distance to everything you'd want to see. Free parking as well. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. The room was huge and clean and the outdoor onsen was wonderful.
It was definitely very dated, which wasn't a big deal to us but be aware it's past its prime. We also didn't like that our car was moved without telling us it would be, and though it was driven only across the street the mirrors had all been adjusted by the staff.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our very spacious tatami room, our very generous and very tasty Japanese-style dinner and breakfast, both served in our room. We also loved the Onsen and close proximity to Noboribetsu Hell Valley Park area. We only stayed for 1 night, but could have easily stayed longer.
There was nothing we didn't like :-)

Good location, very traditional ryokan, nice staff, good traditional meals in room (no western options for breakfast though)
Dated facility, unaesthetic onsen and cumbersome shoe check snd car key check procedures
