    The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. However, I found the bathroom design quite unusual. When you step out of the shower, the toilet is directly in front of you, and there’s a step down to the sink area. I almost missed the step several times after taking a shower or using the toilet. It felt unsafe, especially if the floor was wet. I think this layout could be particularly dangerous for elderly guests. Because of the step, I always had to be careful when walking to the sink, which made the bathroom less convenient to use. Breakfast was also quite limited. There were only a few pieces of cut fruit, some cake, and sweet croissants. There was yogurt, but I couldn’t eat it. As someone who likes to have vegetables for breakfast, I found the selection disappointing. On the bright side, I took a croissant and a piece of cake back to my room and enjoyed them later as a snack! If I had known about the bathroom layout and the breakfast selection in advance, I probably would have chosen a different hotel. That said, the location is very convenient and close to the train station, so it could still be a good choice for travelers who don’t mind these things.

    Wonderful place to stay in Florence, clean, warm hospitality and in the heart of the city. In a very elegant building with great interior. It was single room, a little strange place of a window, but the price was perfect for that kind of b&b. I truly recommend Albergo Burchianti. It was just what I looked for.

    The hotel staff are excellent - Mario is friendly and asks me for a cappuccino every time I step out into the lobby. It is important to note that the staff are only on duty from 8am to 7pm. If you want to check in after that time, you need to email them in advance. In my case, I arrived at 23:00, so I emailed the hotel and Mario politely told me the Pass code to enter the building and how to pick up my keys afterwards. Breakfast is excellent if you pay an extra €7. However, you need to say to the staff by 7am the day before.
