Very dog friendly hotel in lovely grounds with a great restaurant

Lovely chalet style room with double doors leading to the garden. Excellent for the dog and easy access from the car park to the room with luggage. Evening meal was excellent albeit quite expensive (there was a set menu though if you want to keep costs down). Dog was welcomed in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

Breakfast was ok but not great. Organisation at breakfast was a bit chaotic. Not a criticism but the location is a little bizarre right on a large commercial and retail site. Driving to it you wouldn't think the hotel itself could have such lovely grounds. Great if you need a Carrefour or petrol though and there are several fast food outlets if you don't fancy the hotel restaurant.

Comfortable hotel with a decent restaurant for a one night stopover.

Nice comfortable rooms with doors that opened up to an enclosed garden where you could sit out. Also enjoyed the big comfortable bed.

Location is on a big commercial park which makes it convenient for a short stopover but means you can’t really walk anywhere from the hotel.

Disappointing hotel which could be so much better.

Room comfortable and clean enough…good access to garden. Separate bathroom and toilet. Reception & restaurant staff friendly and helpful.

Not enough milk (only 2 sachets) provided with the kettle and tea/coffee. The shower in our room was within a bath with very steep sides and a slippery base, this was frankly dangerous for older customers (particularly single travellers). Only 1 large bath towel for 2 people! Restaurant steak very tough (for fillet steak). Swimming pool not in use: but this was not made clear when booking.

Don't be put off just because this hotel is in the middle of a commercial/industrial centre.

This hotel with its private and spacious garden is a haven of tranquility inside a busy commercial shopping centre and it is just a short hop to and from thr Channel ports.

Very poor and not worth the money

Room was desperately in need of refurbishment. Poor lighting. Thin and poor quality bath towels. Not at all comfortable. Not worth the money. Location is bad as well, on trading/shopping estate with limited parking. Couldn't wait to leave.

Superb

Excellent location next to main autoroutes. Located on a major Centre Commercial so very convenient for shopping. The room were huge, comfortable and well equipped with excellent WiFi. Restaurant served a good meal.

Difficult to find the Hotel as sat Nav directions unclear on the centre Commercial site. It is located close to Cora but this not mentioned on publicity material.

The location is strange in middle of industrial estate but when you arrive private garden is a real plus.

An excellent overnight stop before proceeding to the tunnel

Very good restaurant was much better than we had expected . very good grounds and facilities. Our rooms both had direct access to an enclosed outdoor space which was very useful as we had dogs staying with us

Convenient stop enroute to the ferry.

Enormous bed

Although there was a wedding taking place the restuarant was still open to guests. We were shown to a table and waited 10 minutes for the menu and were not offered any drinks. We gae up and ate elsehwere.

Overnight stop

There was a restaurant if you wanted yo use it and the bed was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. There was a nice terrace outside each room and there were play things for children.

I thought the location was a bit strange. I have never come across a hotel on a retail park before. The rate at the hotel was significantly different from Bookings. com price. Although there was a swimming pool there didn't appear to be any shower facilities to use before entering and exiting the water. On the poolside there was an exercise machine. I dread to think that someone has exercised, sweated and then jumped in the pool...yuk!

We had an awesome time. Met some wonderful people, listened to live music, great place!

They have a marvellous restaurant it is in the higher price range, but the food is delicious. The pool is also a great plus. Even though the hotel is located on a large parking/USA style shopping area, they've managed to make it cosy and quiet. The garden is surrounded by nice trees which gives a good atmosphere. Bathrooms were very stylish.

The airconditioning in our room didn't work. We didn't ask the staff how to turn it on, so that's on us. It was probably just switched off, but do ask for the on-switch if it's warm, otherwise, you'll have a difficult time sleeping.

A classy hotel.

If ever anyone is driving through France to catch the shuttle through the channel tunnel, the location of Lensotel is ideal. One hours drive to Calais. Bedroom excellent. Bed Kingsized & comfortable. Restaurant excellent with a first class menu. With meals cooked to perfection. One word of caution check out the full address of the hotel. Street address for your Sat Nav is Rue des Canadiens

Prima plek voor overnachting halverwege lange reis. Goed restaurant en vriendelijk personeel, auto met bagage kon redelijk veilig geparkeerd worden

Kamer was klein en voor mij lastig; ik heb vanwege benodigde medische apparatuur een stopcontact naast het bed nodig en dat was niet aanwezig, alleen op grotere afstand van het bed. Geen lift aanwezig.

Un hotel familier tres sympathique, on a passé un bon moment, on recommend

Les chambres sont tres spacieux, un décor classique mais correct, tres propre. Un petit dejeuner sur une terasse avec du personnel tres gentils et vu sur la fontaine et piscine du jardin, on se croyait en sud !

L´emplacement fait un peu peur, mais une fois dans l´hotel on l´oublie, on y est bien !

L hotel est pratique tout au rez-de-chaussée , le restaurant est bon . C est propre et le personnel est gentil et rapide .

Dans la baignoire le flexible trop court . Le petit déjeuner un peut chère 15 euro pour boire un café et manger deux croissant. Les œufs au petits déjeuner ma femme n'a pas aimé car mal préparé il etait dans une sauce.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in Lens

Das Hotel ist im Patio-Stil um einen begrünten Innenhof gruppiert. Man fühlt sich wie in Spanien und ist von der Aussenwelt abgeschirmt. Das ist gut so, denn die Außenwelt besteht aus dem Gewerbegebiet Lens 2. Dafür kann man dort gut parken und mühelos anreisen. Die Innenstadt oder den Louvre Lens erreicht man mit dem Auto in 10 - 15 Minuten; Parken ist am Louvre auch kein Problem. Die Betreiber und ihr Personal sind außergewöhnlich freundlich und das Restaurant bietet gute französische Küche. Hier kann man es länger als eine Nacht aushalten.

Die Baguettes beim Frühstück waren vom Vortag, man kann sie aber knusprig toasten. Coissants und Pains au chocolat sind dafür immer frisch.
