Not up to the normal Campanile Standard.

I have been to many Campanile hotels and always found them to be very good. However this one was poor on many fronts. There was no restaurant facility, we couldn't get a drink when we arrived as the bar wasn't open. Each room only had one towel and we had to wait until 19.00 to get a second towel as there was a problem with the washing machine. We also had to ask for more toilet rolls. Breakfast was passable: the fresh pastries were heavy and not up to the standard expected in France; items were not replenished so we had to ask for more items; twice I had to turn on the egg cooker and on our last morning the water had boiled away so much that it didn't cover an egg. Also on the last morning they had run out of yogurts.

Info on Booking.com needs updating as restaurant only open for breakfast. Very limited on drinks from bar. On 3rd morning breakfast items were running out. Toilet roll and tea/coffe/milk was not topped up, told by reception to find chamber maid. Room Aircon not working.

Secure parking, reasonable rooms.

Air con which barely worked (33c outside), a restaurant which only had two main course options. What happened since lockdown and the help yourself deserts and salad bar, those days have gone? Wife noted her clean bare feet in room got dirty walking around. Also, 1 small bathroom towel for a double room now? Will be our last visit, cancelled 2 bookings today and will try another chain.

Be Aware - This Is A Motel Not A Hotel

The staff were friendly and breakfast was nice.

I should have researched this better - it's a motel not a hotel. All rooms open on to an outside walkway with people walking by the room with bags at any hour, so it was not very quiet at times. If you have heavy bags or a disability, you need to book a ground floor room as it is a spiral staircase to the second floor. The car park was gated, but travelling with expensive work items, it didn't feel secure - perhaps I am wrong? Some cars were very badly parked and taking up two spaces, so I had to wait for a space to get close to my room. I think it was over priced given the very basic facilities and I stayed in much better actual hotels for less money on the same trip.

Because of a problem we needed to find a hotel late (23:40!) with 24 hour check in. We were able to book and check in within 45 minutes. Very friendly staff. Rooms are fairly basic, opening onto an external veranda, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. This is a hotel that's gone onto our list of places to stay on our frequent travels up and down the motorway!

Exceeded all expectations.

Room was spotless and was one of the cleanest smelling rooms I've experienced. Evening meal was abuntant with 5 main courses available plus either starter buffet or desert. The best thing was Gwyneth our waitress who helped us understand the meal permutations, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble, merci bien!!
