Tropicana 218 Macalister Studio with Seaview

Great location. View of the sea and beautiful sunrises. Ashley, the host, was very prompt in answering any questions I had. Also provided extra towels without my asking when she realised I was staying for a week.

The apartment needs a full clean and refresh e.g. clogs of dust on bathroom ceiling air filter, mouldy grout in shower area, paint peeling near kitchen floor, wall paper peeling from the wall, watermarks in bathroom ceiling. The bath mats are worn and should be replaced. The hand towel in the kitchen smelt unclean. A little more proper maintenance would make it a much better place.

There are convenience stores on the bottom floor.

The room is tiny. They advertise it as much bigger. I believe hotels in the region include common areas in square footage. That is really deceptive. Booking needs to crack down on this practice.

Das Apartment war sehr schön. Allein der Blick aus den Fenstern war am Tag wie auch in der Nacht sensationell. Die Küche war in Ordnung. 1-2 Messer wären gut gewesen (es gab nur ein kleines und ein grosses Schneidemesser). Für die Waschmaschine stand sogar Waschmittel zur Verfügung. Gut war der Automat für kaltes und heisses Trinkwasser. Von dem Infinitypool hatte man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Stadt und das Meer. Der Selbst-Check-in hat auch funktioniert.

Der verstopfte Abfluss des Waschbeckens im Bad muss dringend gereinigt werden. Trotz der Höhe des Apartments war es nachts bis nach Mitternacht sehr laut, da leider die Musik/Karaoke vom Foodcourt auf der Strasse unten schräg gegenüber sehr laut nach oben hallte (aber dafür kann der Eigentümer des Apartment nichts).

The location and it is comfortable.

The bedsheets and the pillow sheets have a smell like mold. We could not bear that smell and had to cover with our clothes for pillows.
