strong gas leak at bedroom window woke up both with head dizziness . T.V, to unreliable.Radio didn't work. Host was arrogant and rude to my grandchildren when came to visit .were told to wait at road side for me .this mah I my option is an arrogant A Hole . Have reported the health and safety gas issue. Also woke up to two large gods swimming in the pool not 10 m. from our bedroom . Think again

The place is fab and I'll be back. Locaiton is good. quiet and peaceful and clseo to lots of amenities..

Hmm, I arrived in a deluge, down the long driveway. Vehicle couldn't be turned round due to drainage issues of storm, so I needed to back out of long drive to exit. Bit of a stretch but not insurmountable. The next day there was barely any water in teht aps. They shrugged their shoulders when I reported this, it turns out that there was a burst water main in the suburb due to storm. However no offer of water of discount was made. couldn't shower and barely able to get a morning cuppa. I asked for a discount if i returned, no reply received.

Fantastic!

It's a wonderfully renovated boathouse, very well-appointed, clean and comfortable, fully equipped, and with a beautiful view over a tributary of the ocean inlet, with the ebb and flow of the tides. Wading birds, kingfishers, and other birds can be observed from the comfort of your armchair. Very friendly hosts.

A short but very sweet stay - would definitely book again

Loved the first impression view of the property - beautiful outlook, well presented cottage and SO peaceful. We were given a warm and friendly greeting by our host who was able to give us great advice about dining options for that evening :)

Ideally we would have liked to be walking distance to restaurants, but we were aware of the location when we booked and happily sacrificed that for the peace and tranquility

A beautiful spot to relax and unwind.

An idyllic location right on the water (I didn't get to see high tide but low was still picturesque). The Boat House is beautifully finished and furnished, and had a very relaxing atmosphere.

Parking and turning was a bit tight but doable.

Boat house needs dusting and airing out daily, very dusty especially in the bedroom area and behind picture frame, extra utensils would be nice like a spatula, Could not use teapot needed to be replaced. Freeview connection weak signal. ,

Restful, pleasant, and excellent value for money paid.

The parking was well off street, secure and safe. The facilities were excellent and the sea views were exceptional. The Boathouse was quiet and restful - a very good place to rest and relax in. An enormous picture window overlooking the sea (which came right in to the stone wall of the front of the house) and Auckland city in the distance were fantastic.

There were no drapes/curtains to draw across the picture window when retiring for the night and that made the Boathouse too light for me to get any proper sleep. If the host would put similar drapes up there to what is at the side window then it would be perfect.

Great location. Good facilities. Gorgeous decor. Sunset and sunrise were gorgeous. Even some star gazing was possible ✨🌛

I found the bed a little too firm. Could do with a mattress topper or similar. WiFi cut out after 1hr.

A gem for locals to escape to and travellers to embrace NZ.

Clean, modern accommodation with covered outside awning to allow guests to comfortably observe the ebbing tide, whilst observing the local majestic birdlife.

Minor fault, no where to put luggage other than floor. Normally, collapsible luggage racks provided.

A relaxing weekend away from the hustle, sit back, relax, listed to the birds and take a walk

Located right on the inlet with views back to the northern part of the city. Step out the door at low tide and take a walk on the sand flats. Great for getting to Devonport and easy back onto the motorway, aside from the usual Auckland traffic.

Ambience and view are great.

View from the room was magnificent. Looking over a peaceful inlet full of birdlife, to see busy freeway in the distance. Marked changes with the tide in or out. Tons of space. Water filter installed. Towel heater.

There is a very big step up into the shower. No extras like a cloth to wipe benches or tissues or washers. The TV needs Chrome cast to work and we couldn't get it to work.

An awesome stay

Initially we had booked x1 night but the facility looked to good. Just the type of thing we love. Something out of the ordinary. Booked another 2 nights. 3 in all. So glad we did. It was an ideal way to relax and start our holiday. Look out for the many Kingfishes - absolutely delightful. Tidal movements and other bird life kept us well entertained. Thankyou Rebecca and Franky for looking after us so well.

Nothing to be frank. We found the bus which certainly helped get around. Next time we would get a hire car. Circumstances with change of flight forced upon us at the last minute prevented doing it this time.

The location was just amazing with spectacular views of Auckland city. It was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home, money well spent

Location, it was special to be right beside the water especially in the city. Unfortunately we were absent during the day to enjoy the scenery, coming home in the late evening, going straight to bed. We did have a night at home but it rained! LOL The home was so comfy, clean and stylish. We were really impressed by it size, lounge with its awesome view, lots of room in the kitchen to cook a banquet, bathroom was spacious, and the bedroom OMG

That we were busy to really enjoy this beautiful home. That we didn't read the manual because it says that you can have guests to visit but not stay of course, but we were visiting for our daughter's 18th and she wanted to come to our home before going nightclubbing and we said no guest allowed.
