Great location, easy checkin, decent room

Great location

Pity there was no window looking out onto the street or an indoor courtyard. Felt a bit claustrophobic

Amazing location, great value for money, lovely staff

The location is fantastic - right in the heart of Condesa and near the park. The whole neighbourhood and surrounding areas are wonderful. Loads of amazing places to eat, see, shop etc nearby. The accommodation is simple - which was clear to me from the listing - and you’ll have everything you need except your own fridge, but there’s a communal one. The bed is vvvvv comfy so good luck getting out of it. A few people in the reviews said it’s noisy - I found it quieter than London and I was facing the street. Last but not least, Carmen and Hilberto are wonderful - they are both really friendly and made my stay an absolute pleasure.

Fantastic location and cosy room

Second time I stay there. Fantastic location close to Chapultepec park (great for early jogging) and restaurants. Large and clean room. Kitchen corner and fridge were great.

My room window faced an inside corridor, but I felt safe, with enough light and it was not intrusive.

Little hotel in Condesa with nice, well equipped rooms

Nice little hotel in a great neighborhood with lots of bars and cafés around. I got the instructions for check in and out via the platform. I liked the room - it was very well equipped with all that I needed.

My room was facing the street which was a bit noisy at times.

There is no window to the outside - instead to the hallway. A fan helped circulate air, but it got a bit stuffy.

Great place to be and the staff were lovely.

Location was perfect, close to the metro and a lovely area to walk around.

We were in the room behind reception so didn’t feel hugely private as the window opens into the hallway. This led to a bit of damp and humidity in the room over the days we stayed as we couldn’t ventilate it often.

Great place to stay

The owner and Carmen were incredibly nice and accommodating. I was traveling with my baby and there was some construction happening so they moved me to room 7 upstairs so my baby could get a nap in. Room 7 is SUPER NICE! I would stay here again for sure. The bed is incredible and theres lots of space to hang out. The location of the hotel is great too, lots of coffee shops and restaurants near by. I definitely recommend staying here if youre passing through Mexico City

Its a really nice space. The double room downstairs is a little noisier because its right in the hallway and you can hear everyone passing by but it isnt a problem if you are a good sleeper. For longer stays, definitely get the more spacious rooms upstairs 👌

Good for a short stay

Casa Melgar is cute! I liked the easy access to the property. The bed was comfortable and shower and bathroom were great. Everything was clean, and having a mini fridge and microwave was a nice extra touch. The room was small but comfortable. I would consider staying here again in spite of some flaws. For a single night, it was easy and nice.

The lack of air conditioning was a bit hard, as there was also no window in our room and it got very stuffy. A small fan didn’t provide much relief.

Great and cosy studio flat next to Chapultepec park

Very cosy room with a small kitchen and fridge. Fantastic location close to lots of restaurants and near Chapultepec park. I loved jogging in Chapultepec every morning, felt very safe. Nice host.

Really stuffy, no fresh air in rooms unless you open the toilet window. Has a window to the corridor, that unless you want the other guests to see straight into your room you have to keep closed.

The location is good.

The room has no window to the outside. The window is facing the corridor, so the room is as stuffy as the corridor. We stayed only 30 mins and checked out and went to another hotel. It didn’t worth any money. The description didn’t match the real property/room.

Pleasant stay for great value in good area

The bedroom and ensuite were a good size and very clean. Bed was comfy. Location was fantastic in a great safe neighbourhood.

Room 5s ensuites only ventilation is a window that opens onto the staff quarters. Staff were playing loud music that can be heard in the bedrooms at 6am. Bed was very creaky. Would wake myself when turning.

The location was great and the place was very cute.

There wasn't any ventilation in our room so it got a little stuffy and towels didn't dry. I'm not sure what it would be like in actual hot weather. The coffee machine and hair dryer didn't work but we didn't get a chance to talk to staff about it, we were just too busy.

Clean, amazing staff, and good location

The location was great! Walking distance to cafes and many central places. We loved the staff the most! She was the sweetest lady. Accommodated us with everything we needed.

The shower had a smell similar to the sewage. Wish there was a standing fan because it gets very hot. Although we can open the windows from the bedroom, the street goes get noisy so we can’t keep it open through the night.

Great value option for a low budget, minimalistic stay

The location is absolutely ideal. Right by the bosque, subway and a zillion coffee shops and restaurants. The property was very clean and quiet.

For the price, it was great but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay (we stayed 8 nights). It's fairly barren and basic, nowhere to really sit in the room besides the bed and the TV didn't even work. It would've been perfect for a few nights but after a few more I was wishing I'd booked a place with more amenities.

Great place to stay

Casa Melgar is a great place to stay for a few days. The location is fantastic. Staff are friendly, and the room I was in had everything you need. Very clean and organised, even had bottled water and an espresso machine. The bathroom is a good size, with shampoo, conditioner, and soap, and the water is hot.

The WiFi isn't the best for streaming or Zoom calls, but it's good for simple browsing. My room was facing the street, so you do get street noise, but it was not that bad.

Clean and Cozy Stay in Condesa

Great location and easy to get checked in. The room had a lot of nice amenities (mini fridge, sink, microwave) and the shower/bathroom was cute and clean.

There was a bit of street noise, but we had earplugs so it didn’t bother us much. It would be great if the room had a fan to help the air circulate when it gets warm.

Perfect location for a short stay in Mexico City

Perfectly located, very clean. We were even able to leave our suitcases a whole day at the desk free of charge. The neighborhood is great to walk around Condessa and Roma.
