Super location, rooms great for the price and bed comfy, staff helpful, breakfast fine.
A bit noisy with the church bells, you will know what time it is every hour. A small price to pay for perfect location!

We really liked staying in 39 St. George Hotel as the room was large and well maintained. Being on St. George's Square was a lively choice during the day, and mostly quiet at night, except for some extended bell ringing at early morning hours. We also enjoyed the staff and breakfasts at the wine bar across the square (same owners it seems). Victoria and Gozo were well worth the extra effort as the pace of life was slower and the crowds less than Valletta.
The basilica bells were loud at times.

Location fabulous
No one there at check in. They didn’t answer the phone number left to ring. We rang many times with no answer. Finally we went to the cafe next door and asked if they could help and they did get us in.
Also the jug in the room had a european plum not english plug so was unusable.
The shower leaked badly. I had to plug the hole with blue tac.
