Hotel was lovely, had absolutely everything you could need, was extremely clean, fully stocked and comfy! Water was hot and pressure was good, bathtub was a bonus!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and made every effort to be accommodating - couldn't fault the staff in reception or the restaurant. The breakfast was very good. We had an enjoyable meal on our first night. The room was clean and tidy and warm and had an extra heater for extra warmth.

The restaurant area was very cold, in fact the whole of the building was very cold because of the large windows (not double-glazed). You could therefore feel the cold from the outside which made it very uncomfortable inside. The bedroom was nice and warm but everywhere else in the building was cold. The bathroom was clean and tidy - however there was a bath with overhead shower and the bath was too high for my husband to get into as he has mobility issues. There were no grab rails at all. The hotel is not geared up for disabled people, too many stairs to get to the main reception and a long walk from the bedroom to the main reception, especially if you cannot use a mobility scooter inside. The hotel could do with renovation / decoration and having double-glazed windows throughout to help keep the place warm and the noise down from the cars outside. The hotel needs to cater for disabled visitors too in all areas of the hotel and inside the bedrooms / bathrooms.

Very cosy place with nice clean rooms. All the major items you would expect are in your room, kettle, tea, biscuits, coffee, towels and good central heating. Beds are average but got enough.

Breakfast is not bookable via booking.com and the bar is not open after 10:30pm. Also early breakfast is not available ie. before 9am. The hotel is also cashless so you have to remember to bring a card else you cannot pay for anything.

check in was easy.

got locked in after 10pm and told we cant leave. slept awfully, very uncomfortable, very eary and my whole body was itching and flared up when i was in the bed and woke up in the monring. I then passed out at breakfast due to whatever was in the room making my body itch.

How well presented the room was.

We couldn’t get the TV to work and the telephone to ring reception didn’t work.

Adequate parking. Room - good size, clean with fresh decoration. Overlooked a lawned area and very quiet. Bathroom - clean and functional. Liked the lobby area separating bathroom and wardrobe from bedroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. Effort had been made to provide adequate power points and lighting was reasonable too. Small sofa ideal for tv watching/reading. Food : Dinner menu Indian - excellent. Breakfast - table service ,fresh cooked foot - excellent.

Hairdryer didn't work and shower was abit dodgy. I was trying to get it to go hot for ages, trying to find the sweet spot. The room could do with a more updated shower.

At least the tv and shower both worked very well.

Room was very dated. Bed was too firm. Though the WiFi signal was strong the speed was so slow.

Clean, tidy, comfortable. Evening meal (curry) was delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good location for working in Stevenage. Quiet room, even though close to a road. Parking available, and free of charge.

Room was a bit tired, fitted out with furniture which is quite dated now. Overall the property could do with updating.

Very short stay but prefect location for my needs

There was nothing to dislike

Stayed the night before a funeral at the crematorium which was a 5 minute drive so very convenient. Had everything we needed for a night's stopover, room had all expected facilities, biscuits with tea and coffee, soap, shampoo and shower gel provided and curtains were blackout.

Decor a little tired, few quirks like bathroom handle upside down and toilet flush required a knack but no real issue.

All went well. The staff we encountered were friendly and professional.

The fact it had an onsite restaurant so didn’t have to travel for food. Onsite parking

So noisy both inside and outside, no sound proofing and none of doors had soft close mechanisms so everything slammed. The only meal I ate Monday was at the onsite Indian restaurant. Found it to be expensive and service charge automatically applied. The food quality wasn’t great and since that meal I have had severe upset stomach. Shame as on paper looked a great place to stay.

Only drawback for me was accessibility. I struggle a little with stairs and steps and there were lots of small steps, even on the ground floor There were disabled parking spaces but then steps into the hotel! I did manage these slowly. I would still stay here again as it was excellent value for.money.

Everything was very dated and felt for the quality it was quite expensive. Corridors all had interesting smells.
