Garden Guest House

Room was comfortable, nice view from balcony and clean bathrooms

3rd floor, no lift, very inconvenient with heavy luggage. The main door on 3rd floor has faulty lock. It was not opening. Took us 15 mins to open the lock to enter the guest house at midnight. So annoying

Overall It’s a good place to stay for a few nights. Owner was very friendly and helpful. He was cleaning the facilities every day. There are functional microwave and fridge in the hostel, also towels

Someone stole our food from the fridge :( Not a hostel issue but still very sad If you are visiting not in the warm season, and even rainy season…well your staying won’t be comfortable. It’s not about a hostel either, I guess it’s Portugiese buildings unpreparedness. It will be extremely cold and wet in the room. But the owner offered me an extra blanket so it was bearable. Humidity was so extreme that all clothes were constantly wet.

Very good location,so helpful management.Clean and safe room.

Close to the center and cheap

No towels; for every small friendly gesture that every accommodation offers you (save suitcase in check out, check out a bit later etc), they charges you; only one shares shower for everyone (like for about 10 people); not lift (3rd floor with complicated & old staircases); not very clean; and too many messages for checking at owner’s convenience, when they offer a timeframe
