Lisboa 85 Suites & Apartments

The location is walkable to shopping & attractions. Accommodation is unique with a good view of hot air balloons with nice surrounding landscape. The staff were very helpful!

I was genuinely conflicted about my stay at Lisboa 85 Suites & Apartments. On one hand, I absolutely hated the room I was initially given. It was in the basement, which meant NO natural sunlight, and after looking forward to my Lisbon trip for months, it wasn’t exactly the arrival I had imagined. The room was functional, but being underground definitely affected the experience. It felt a little claustrophobic and lacked the charm I was hoping for. What made it more frustrating was that I had messaged the hotel three months before my trip requesting a higher-floor room and never received a reply. When I arrived and asked whether a room change was possible, the staff member at the counter was quite rude, which didn’t leave the best first impression. To be fair, after reading other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who found the check-in process a little awkward. Reception is located in a different building, which means you’re dragging your luggage around before you’ve even settled in. If you’re arriving with a large suitcase, the crossing of the road and navigating between buildings is far from ideal, especially after a long flight. A number of guests seemed to mention similar frustrations with the setup. And yet… I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. The location is honestly that good. The hotel is literally right in front of the metro, which became invaluable throughout my trip. Getting anywhere in Lisbon was effortless, whether I was heading into the centre, exploring different neighbourhoods, or returning late at night. It’s one of those locations that makes travelling feel easy. The room itself, while uninspiring, had everything I needed. It was clean, practical, and worked well as a base while I spent most of my time exploring the city. What completely redeemed the experience for me was the communication during my stay. The hotel regularly sent thoughtful messages checking in on me, asking whether everything was going well and if I needed anything. It felt surprisingly personal and caring, especially compared to my initial interaction at reception. So yes, I was disappointed by the basement room. Yes, the check-in process could be smoother. And yes, hauling a large suitcase across the road isn’t exactly the glamorous Lisbon experience anyone dreams of. But the unbeatable location, practical rooms, and genuinely attentive follow-up service mean I would still happily stay at Lisboa 85 Suites & Apartments again.

Nice place , but don’t take room #002 , it’s in the basement and right above the metro station , u feel all the vibration, breakfast was excellent , but we had to cross the street to its sister hotel the LX SOHO, we also found a cockroach in our shower on our last nite , besides that it was a nice place
