A comfortable stay in a great location!
I was really happy with the location of the apartment; it only takes 10 minutes to walk to Ambleside and it's got a bus stop just outside but is also close to some good walks. There's plenty of room to park the car and to turn so I didn't have to do any difficult reversing down the long winding driveway down to the road. Everything I needed was in the apartment; the kitchen/diner is big modern and clean with everything I needed in it and has a big wooden table which seats four. The bathroom is small but modern, completely tiled and really clean and had a big walk in shower and a towel rail which kept the bathroom warm. The bedroom was simple but elegantly presented with a king size bed and plenty of storage (a wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside tables with lamps. The living room was pretty basic but I loved the big comfy chair and sofa which were really relaxing. I could have happily slept on the sofa (although I am small). I was also there before New Year and there was a nice Christmas tree which made me feel festive. There was good wifi reception; which surprised me as there was no tv reception. I didn't have any contact with the hosts whilst there but I didn't have anything to raise with them.
The toaster appears to be broken as I had to hold down the lever. From the outside the apartment looks pretty grim (although I suppose it made the inside a nice surprise). It would have been nice if there had been a radio as there's no tv reception so it's very silent (but some may prefer this) There's no tv reception; although there was a DVD player and some complimentary DVDs and books.
