Fabulous location, with walks on door step including river, waterfalls and Old Man of Coniston. Very near to Lake Coniston (Wild Cat Island) and other sites of interest like Beatrix Potter's Hill Top, Hawkeshead, Tarn Hows. Not that far from coast too and Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Great pub a few doors down serving local ales and good food. Clean, comfy beds. Warm house with a nice log burner. Two main bathrooms plus another toilet and sink. Good for families with kids. Despite some issues, we really enjoyed our stay.
Towels had slight smell of cigarette smoke.
Issue with drain and tumble dryer during our stay but resolved by property management team who responded quickly once we got hold of them. A very kind and efficient handyman arrived. Tumble dryer replaced. Drains cleared.

Amazing location, beds comfy and everything worked in the house.
Not as clean as properties we’ve stayed at before and only had 3 wine glasses! In a house for 10 people! We had to borrow some from the pub.

Loved the house which is very spacious and well maintained. The fireplace was a lovely addition.
There is no outside light by the garage so it makes navigating in the dark tricky, even parking up and unpacking.
Also most of the rooms had bedside lights that didn't work.
