A lovely cosy base for family to meet up and catch up in.

Off road parking, kitchen had plenty of useful utensils, cooker easy to use, nice and warm on arrival, good communication from owner, good selection of books, dvds, games, owner had left tea, coffee and some treats which made us feel very welcome.

Having only one loo meant a queue for the bathroom sometimes

Good views and location

Good location and view as situated on a steep hill. Parking appreciated as the road is narrow and steep and parking at a premium. Typical basic Welsh stone cottage, with lovely wood burning fire. Some issues whilst there but friendly owner sorted very quickly.

Ideally situated for more agile people as steep stairs and various steps outside. Bathroom very small with shower over bath so getting in a out a problem if mobility issues. Needs a refresh and a good clean and air after each use.

the location was lovely, we had such a nice view and the locals were so nice we also wasnt to far from main chain foor places

when we entered the house the bins were full and the tables and so on wasnt clean i dont think there are actual cleaners for the place rather you clean up after your self other than that it wasnt too bad the shower was a bit annoying to use but it was a decent place for your money

Cosy cottage

Lovely cosy cottage, the cottage had the facilities you needed. Great location to stay to visit around snowdonai and the beaches.

Like others have said, it needs that little more cleaning. Cobwebs and dust in the corners.

Wouldn’t stay again and definitely not worth the money.

The only thing that I liked was the comfy bed.

Everything could have been better. The entrance from the car park to the back door was a mess. It had never been cleaned or even swept. An rusty old bbq and old car battery were left there. The exterior walls were partly painted and not finished, looking a mess. The interior was desperately in need of redecoration, cobwebs everywhere and the lounge seating could do with being replaced.. The utility room was a dumping ground for the owner. I certainly wouldn’t go again and I wouldn’t recommend it. I am doubtful as to whether or not I would book with Booking.com again if this is the type of property that they have on their books.

Lovely 2 night stay, Nice and convenient for picking our Grandson up from Bangor university.

Felt very comfortable and homely. Wood burner was lovely. Kitchen well stocked, appliances and equipment. Plenty of seating. Bathroom was small, but everything you needed. Grateful for the off street parking, as roads narrow.

My Haulfryn cottage stay

I loved the welcome treats, very unique! I loved the ambience of the cottage, the views, the space, and the accessibility to shops. I also loved the fact that some basic kitchen requirements were available. The living room provides many entertainment options, like you can decide to watch TV or read a book or play games! Simply put, the cottage felt like 'a home away from home'! Absolutely comfortable place to stay in..

There were a few cobwebs around some of the hanging light bulbs.

A peaceful house with stunning views - would stay again without hesitation.

Haulfryn is in the elevated part of Bethesda, meaning it's a bit away from the main road and has absolutely stunning views of the mountains of Eryri. Off road parking is a great bonus at Haulfryn as there's lots of on-street parking in the area, I can't believe how quiet the house was, it's great for folk wanting some peace and quiet after a day exploring north Wales. A well equipped kitchen for cooking, and Deliveroo available when you don't want to cook. Would definitely stay again when I'm next in the area.

There's nothing that would stop me staying at Haulfryn again, it's really great. Only having one bathroom was a bit inconvenient when staying with a couple of friends but far from a problem really.

Perfect cottage nestled in a beautiful village with stunning views

With stunning views and easy access to all the nearby sights, this cottage is the perfect stay for any groups/family. Travelled with my parents in their late 60s and they loved how comfortable the cottage was and the kind hospitality of welsh cakes, bara brith, milk and tea/coffee prepared for us. Will definitely return someday. Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Beautiful well kept cottage only 15 minutes from city center Bangor.

The cottage is a beautiful, cozy little home. Everything was clean and in good working order. The view from the garden of the mountains was beautiful. Very thankful for the off street parking. The detail in the manual left by the home owner on the history of the home and permits/info on all major appliances was a comfort to know that they take pride in keeping things working and up to code. We had enough space for the 6 of us without feeling like we were on top of each other.

There was nothing we didn't like, but here is some feedback. We had 6 people in our group.... and only one bathroom, and it was on the second floor. We made it work, but it took some coordination when getting ready in the mornings. There are slate steps between the parking area and the back door. When the slate gets wet, it can get VERY slippery. there is a alternate way to get around to the door though. The street the cottage is on is a hill. We didn't have any problems in our car climbing the hill, but in the winter, if there is ice or snow, it could be difficult to navigate.

Not as expected and for the amount charged , very disappointing and not worth the money at all.

I liked the location of the property, as it was close to zip world and other tourist spots.

The whole cottage is very dated. It had a strange smell, it was not cleaned properly. The kitchen towels were stinking , the kitchen drawers, cupboard underneath the sink- all had a bad odour. The beds were extremely small to sleep for 2 adults and the spring in the bed made disturbing noise when changing positions . The towels provided were very old and there were no toiletries in bathroom. There were old 1/4 th filled bottles of shower gel left, which appeared to be left by previous customers.

Fabulous location and very spacious. We came as a family of 6. Lovely touch with the wine and cakes

Some areas not so clean such as cobwebs, hairs in bathroom, food stains in cupboards and food left from previous occupants. Bunk beds were quite rickety and so wouldn’t want to put any one of any weight on the top! Beds uncomfortable and noisy when rolling over.

great location, off street parting for 2 easily plus a 3rd if needed (but would block other 2 in), amazing views, very clean with everything you need, but the best bit was the cake, cookies, chocolate and a bottle of wine! Nice touch, thank you.

it’s an older property, so some creaky floor boards and uneven floor. Lots of steps outside, some loose paving stones, so not ideal with anyone with mobility restrictions, and could be a nasty fall if you lose land on a paving stone wrong or lose your balance. However we had no issues and found the property had character and was quirky.

Breakaway with velocity zip experience

Idea size for our family .. Clean and tidy with breath taking views out of the bedroom windows ... Off road parking was also a bonus . Perfect location to the zip wire experience ..you can see in the distance the red trucks going up the mountain from the dinning room .. All the locals are very friendly too .

Stunning views

Lovely peaceful location with stunning views, bus stop nearby as well as the local shops. Fully equipped kitchen and everything you can possibly need is provided. Lovely welcoming gift of a bottle of wine and Welsh cake was a nice touch 👌 it was like coming to a home away from home;) Fast wi-fi, central heating and instantly hot water was great. Will be happy to come back but next time definitely by the car..

Not many places to eat outside if you don't want to cook after a busy day of exploring surroundings & very limited takeaway options. Mattress was on a harder side ( but that's personal preferences and didn't really impact our stay). My partner struggled with it a bit more, but still would be happy to return.

Comfortable and a brilliant base for lots of excellent walks (including one from the House to Bangor & back) Off-road parking a plus.

The location was perfect for us as we had activities booked at Zipworld and this was minutes away. The house was much roomier than we had expected, beds were lovely and comfy and the views were awesome 🙂

Onderdak, that's it

De omgeving van het huisje, je bent snel in de bergen van Snowdonia. Tien minuten met de auto. En de andere kant op een goed half uur naar de kust van Holyhead.

De staat van het huisje, het is een oude bende, Het ziet er onfris uit en was niet goed schoongemaakt. Het stapelbed boven wiebelt en het voelt niet veilig als je onderin slaapt. De vloer boven is onstabiel en kraakt. De badkamer is uit de tijd. De douche functioneerde trouwens goed. Er is maar een kleine koekenpan in de keuken, verder genoeg spullen om te koken.
