A truly special place from which to enjoy a visit to the Curonian Spit

I stayed here, specifically Vila Mariu, with my parents for 1 week as part of our family holiday to Lithuania. We stayed for the last week of September. We have had a fantastic stay at this holiday cottage and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone thinking of visiting the Curonian Spit. Firstly, the apartment absolutely lives up to the photos- it is beautiful on the outside, with a perfect situation next to the Curonian Lagoon. The inside is tastefully decorated, comfortable and with all the fixtures you could need. Outside there is a patio terrace with a dining table, a barbecue grill and you have access to wood stores. It was a little too cold for us to use this in late September but a useful amenity for people staying in warmer periods. The dining/conservatory area provided us with a special place to share as a family with great views; most particularly spectacular sunrises. I must also mention the host, Anzelika, who I was in contact with before and during our stay. Her communication was exemplary throughout. She handled a small change to dates of stay with no fuss. She also gave me helpful videos on accessing the property, where to park, and instruction on where to find stored items such as iron, vacuum, blankets and pillows etc. She also checked in with me during our stay to make sure we were comfortable and warm enough. As a family we made a lot of happy memories in Vila Mariu and I can’t thank Anzelika enough.

This is not a criticism as our family absolutely loved staying in peaceful Pervalka, which is both beautiful and perfectly located as a base/nexus for exploring the Curonian Spit. My only advice to travellers is to be mindful that towards the end of the summer a lot of amenities in Pervalka close for the winter months. So if you like eating out, for instance, you will have to make the short drive to Nida or elsewhere for that.

Great summer holiday house with very supportive hosts and great surrounding!

A very comfortable and beautiful house for a family in a quiet village at the sea

The only disadvantage - not possible to swim at the beach, so you actually need to drive to the nearest beach for a swim.

Lovely, traditional cottage with thatched room, in tiny, quiet Pervalka.

The property was spotlessly clean, and is furnished with simple good taste, in a colour scheme that suits the area and the architecture. Very relaxing.

Payment by bank transfer in advance can be a bit of a hassle (especially if you're travelling before arrival). Credit cards aren't accepted.
