Stepping back in time

This is a treasure. A small hotel that might have been much the same fifty years ago (apart from the bedroom décor and the shower/ wc pod in each room). Run by a welcoming couple. A simple restaurant and bar.And so peaceful between the canal and the railway which only has a few trains passing each day. If one enjoys cycling, the cycleway along the Canal du Bercy is a joy. Worth more than an overnight stay.

Everything about this hotel was amazing, we loved our stay here and will definitely be back next year.

It was colourful, quirky, very clean, with a very comfortable bed, our evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Really good music in the bar and the owners were absolutely brilliant.

Pleasant stay in a quiet rural Auberge.

Quiet setting by the Berry Canal. Typical auberge, full of character. Meals were very good.

Bathroom in our bedroom was very cramped.

Great atmosphere to the building, friendly owners, and a comfy and clean room with walks and cycling routes nearby. The decor was gently arty. Good coffee. The hotel is near a (very small, non-intrusive) train stop with lots of old-world charm.

We could have stayed a little longer - didn't have much time to explore the area.

the room is spacious and has all you need for a one night stay. the location is very calm countryside and you can walk and hear the sounds of nature. they have a nice terrace in front of the hotel to take a drink

I don’t recommend the dinner. it was ok value for money but it’s frozen things and nothing is homemade. there is nothing much to do nearby except for a really pretty little village nearby -hérisson which I really recommend

This is a brilliant place to stay with friendly hosts and excellent food. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal and a traditional French breakfast. Not far from the motorway so a great stop when travelling, but in total peace and quiet.

Super place to stay for the night and maybe more (when the weather gets better!)

The host was lovely from the start. We arrived a bit early and went for a walk along the canal. Then went back to have a coffee followed by Mulled wine. The room was warm and super clean as was the whole place. Evening meal was exceptional and we both slept really well. It was ideal for us for a 1 night stop and would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and full of character.

Great location. Beautiful, characterful auberge both inside and out. Nice old bar. Good food in the evening. Some people take a beautiful old hotel and turn it into something that looks like a Premier Inn or Travelodge. Why? Fortunately, the current owners have kept the character and authenticity.

The en-suite bathroom was a disappointment. It was a plastic shell like on a cross-Channel ferry, only smaller.

Süsse kleine Pension mit sehr freundlichen Besitzern und leckerem Essen. Nicht weit von der Autobahn nach Süden und dadurch ideal für einen Stopp. Wir wären länger geblieben, wenn wir gewusst hätten wie schön es dort ist. Absolute Empfehlung
