Don't judge a book....

The breakfast was delicious! Plenty of choice in a lovely dining room which was nicely appointed, and offered everything you could ask for in a mid-range hotel. The owner and her daughter in law were friendly and paid great attention to every detail! Loved it! Our room was basic but very clean and commensurate with the price. Good value for the money. The owner thought of every detail...including a pin cushion and thread and needle for emergencies, and a common room with snacks available for a reasonable price in the honor system! Our washroom was large, the bed was comfortable, and there were lots of tv channels. The location was easy to visit Cochem and environs, but the town of Mayen itself is worth a visit! Parking is free but you have to be confident to parallel into tight spaces. Mayen has a lovely old downtown with a variety of restaurants, and the town boasts a beautiful castle. We were pleasantly surprised by this discovery.

Stay was overall lovely, owners were great and accommodating and places to visit was close.

Breakfast was lovely had different food choices from chees and cold meats to cereals to muffins to waffles and the coffee was great as well also had a nice selection of teas and juices

Fine for a short stay

Nice small hotel on walking distance from the city centre (aprox 10 mins). Decent sized room, good bed and good bathroom. Breakfast was simple but nice, and good coffee.

It was 30 degrees during our stay, would have been nice to have at least a fan in the room,

Very good

The service was great. The family is really nice, even as my girlfriend barely speaks german they have no problem switching languages and doing their utmost best.

The only thing i personally found an issue was that it was a plain normal bed, 2 seperate matrasses and no topper. Meaning it was a very low bed, but you cant comfortable sleep together as one is laying in a crack. Besides that it was great. If ever upgrading the beds, i recommend boxsprings.

Tolle Unterkunft für ein langes Wochenende

Die Zimmer waren gemütlich eingerichtet und das Badezimmer war sehr groß und modern. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich und vielfältig und die Kaffeemaschine ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auch die Lage hat uns begeistert und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Perfekter Service!

Absolute Empfehlung für Radreisende. Trockene, sichere Verwahrung der Räder. 500m vor der Ankunft ereilte mich ein Platten im Hinterrad, welchen ich Dank des vorhandene Montageständers, sehr komfortabel bearbeiten konnte. Der überdachte Bereich im Innenhof mit Sitzmöglichkeit ist angenehm. So etwas habe ich bisher nicht gesehen. Fand ich gut! Das Hotel ist etwas Älter in der Ausstattung, jedoch ist alles funktional und gepflegt. Es fehlte mir an nichts!!

Unkompliziertes Einchecken. Gastgeberin sehr nett und das Frühstück Top. Sehr schönes altes Haus mit tollem Frühstücks- und schönem Aufenthaltsraum.

Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist etwas altbacken, sonst aber alles sehr nett und liebevoll eingerichtet.

Herzlich, sauber, fairer Preis

Familiengeführt und persönlich. Ein altes Gebäude kollidiert schnell mit modernen Ansprüchen aber sie haben das Beste daraus gemacht. Ein wenig nostalgisch aber liebevoll und vor allem sauber. Das Einzelzimmer bietet alles, was man braucht - insbesondere, wenn man eh „nur zum schlafen“ dort ist.

Individuelles Hotel in Mayen

Sehr geräumiges Zimmer, extra Flur und sehr großes Badezimmer. Im Zimmer endlich mal ausreichend Stühle Es gibt einen Kühlschrank mit Getränken im Aufenthaltsraum, aus dem sich Gäste gegen Bezahlung selbst bedienen können. Und einen extra Kühlschrank für eigene mitgebrachte Sachen. Im Hof kann man als Raucher gemütlich und überdacht sitzen.

Eine 2. Lampe für das 2. Einzelbett wäre schön.

Prima verblijf in een mooie stad, het heeft ons positief verrast.

Vriendelijk ontvangen en het contact voor de aankomst was goed. Het ontbijt was lekker en goed verzorgd. Als iets op was, werd het meteen aangevuld. Ook was er een ruimte waar je nog gezellig een spelletje kon doen en waar drankjes en hapjes waren.

We hadden een oudere dame bij ons en we verbleven op de 2e verdieping. We was geen lift en de klim naar de 2e verdieping was pittig.

Es war ein sehr schönes Wochenende

Das Hotel hat einen besonderen Charme, da es alt aber sehr gepflegt ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und es war sehr sauber. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Aufenthaltsraum, wo man jederzeit Getränke erstehen und Kaffee oder Tee kochen konnte. Auch die nette Sitzgruppe im Innenhof fanden wir toll. Das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend. Eine Mischung aus Buffet und Aufschnittplatte am Tisch. Die Gastwirtin war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Wir werden wiederkommen, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

Urlaub in der Eifel

Familie Rosenberg hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben die Zeit in Mayen sehr genossen. Die Garage als Abstellmöglichkeit für unser Motorrad war genial und der Innenhof mit Sitzgelegenheiten ist, wie das ganze Hotel, sehr liebevoll gestaltet und wir konnten manchen Tag dort ausklingen lassen.

Nicht nochmal

Das Frühstück im Hotel Jägerhof war in Ordnung und entsprach dem, was man in einem Drei-Sterne-Hotel erwarten kann. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben sind die Betten, die sehr bequem waren und einen erholsamen Schlaf ermöglicht haben.

Leider überwogen bei unserem Aufenthalt im Hotel Jägerhof die negativen Eindrücke. Die gesamte Ausstattung wirkte stark in die Jahre gekommen und entsprach nicht mehr dem heutigen Standard. Zudem waren in den Räumlichkeiten unangenehme Gerüche wahrnehmbar, was das Wohlbefinden deutlich beeinträchtigte. Auch das Personal zeigte sich unfreundlich und wenig serviceorientiert, was den Gesamteindruck zusätzlich trübte. In Anbetracht der gebotenen Leistung empfanden wir den Preis als deutlich zu hoch.
