Superb

The fact that the queen size bed could actually split into two twin sized beds. The hotel manager was fantastic. Breakfast was good. Nice aesthetic in the lobby. Perfect location across the street from a creek, and short walking distance from fine dining and hookah lounge.

Shower water was only warm for a few minutes

Nice little hotel in Mayen

All was well. We had a room at the courtyard, so very quiet. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was large. Breakfast was good enough. There's not an incredible amount of choice, but for a small hotel, the breakfast was very good.

the guy working didn't seem to enjoy his job very much. He wasn't incredibly cranky though.

Almost no sound isolation from other rooms and hallway. A bit confusing check in process - main door is locked, need to find backdoor, there was small note with phone number that calls another number that lets you in and checks in.

Good breakfast and kind customer service saved it all!

The staff was super kind and attentive and breakfast very good! The location was perfect for my travel plans. I was able to leave my car pretty close to the hotel for free.

My room was quite dirty and the sheets on the bed didn't smell fresh at all. There was also a very strong smell of cigarettes in the room as soon as I entered, wasn't sure if it was because the window was open or if the room itself smelled. The bed was soft, but the pillow one of the worst ones I've ever seen. I still did sleep surprisingly well, because I was so exhausted. I only spent one night and returned to the hotel, so didn't have a chance to ask for another pillow. The person behind the desk was very kind so I have a feeling he would've found me a better one if I had asked.

Eifel Grand Prix visit.

Excellent value for money, staff couldn't do more, clean comfortable and excellent breakfast. As a frequent visitor to the Nurburgring I will definitely stay here again. I have in the past paid other hotels much more for less. Local to the town some very nice bars and restaurants. The scenery around the area is outstanding.

Very pleasant place on a street corner leading out of town but the town centre is a very short walk

The room we were given had it's own little balcony. The bathroom was gorgeous

Een verblijf naar volle tevredenheid.

Hotel Zum dicken Baum ligt op loopafstand van Station Mayen West. Alles was zeer schoon,netjes verzorgd. Het gebouw op zich is oud,maar dat was voor mij geen probleem. Ontbijtbuffet was goed,genoeg keuze en variatie. Personeel was wel vriendelijk. Badkamer was erg schoon,ruim genoeg.

Het personeel sprak gebrekkig Duits,en soms Engels. Was niet altijd goed te verstaan De kussens van de bedden waren erg zacht en lagen daardoor niet echt lekker,maar dat loste ik op door er een opgevouwen dekentje,wat aanwezig was,onder te leggen.

De locatie was op zeer korte loopafstand van het centrum.

Het hotel was op zich heel rustig. Door de houten vloeren hoor je echter iedere beweging uit andere kamers. Alles is wat verouderd, maar de prijs/kwaliteit is prima.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt während Rock am Ring

Wir waren während Rock am Ring in dieser Pension untergebracht und haben einen vergleichsweise günstigen Preis ergattert. Dementsprechend waren unsere Erwartungen auf null (denn alles ist besser als campen :D) Wir wurden wirklich positiv überrascht. Das Zimmer war vollkommen in Ordnung, und wir hatten ein recht großes Bad, das sehr sauber war. Der Gastgeber hat uns freundlich empfangen und wir durften auch schon früher ins Zimmer. Unser Zimmer war sehr leise und wir haben gut geschlafen.

Die Prakplatzsituation ist etwas blöd. Mittags haben wir immer einen Platz an der Straße gefunden aber nachts, als wir zurückgekommen sind haben wir am Schwimmbad parken müssen, wo man ab 8 Uhr erst einen Parkschein lösen kann. Wir haben dann morgens umgeparkt. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Bauarbeitethotel, Gaststätte nicht mehr geöffnet, nur Frühstück für Gäste. Hotel hat keinen Parkplatz. Mussten auf der Straße suchen. Frühstück sehr abgezählt, vor allem zu wenig Butter.

Die Unterkunft ist schlicht. Dennoch fehlt eigentlich nichts. Der Aufenthalt geht in Ordnung.

Frühstück war OK (Buffet). Die Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber. Das Ambiente, vor allem der Frühstücksraum fand ich persönlich OK.

Hotel hat keine eigenen Parkplätze. Es gibt aber genügend freie Plätze in der nähe.
