Beautiful location and shared spaces but disappointing rooms.

The Hotel is located just up the hill in the higher part of the village. The views all round are amazing and the hotel's shared spaces are beautifully well cared for. Hotel has a lovely garden and outside seating area which sadly we did not use as it rained for our whole stay but I am sure it would have been amazing. The breakfast was good with a good range of products and we liked the shared living room space.

On the website the hotel claims to have recently renovated and updated all the bedrooms and that they all have a large balcony. Our room was small and dated. It had no where comfortable to sit. The bed had only 1, very soft uncomfortable pilow per person. The room had a balcony but it was shared with 2 other rooms. Ours, the middle room, had a window along the balcony so anyone on it could see straight in. We therefore werent able to open our curtains. No one really felt comfortable using the balcony.

As the weather was rather cold and rainy, it was pretty cold in the room and especially in the bathroom. It would be good to have a possibility to heat the premises a bit.

Beautiful place, with deep thought of each design detail. Very pleasant staff. Great breakfast, also for vegan/gluten free. Even an option to charge the electric car. I still miss this great bed and blankets, the balcony and this great view. Thank you!!!

Good sized rooms with views from balcony. Fridge, hairdryer. Free coffees, cake and tea from lounge. Bike storage room, helpful, friendly staff. Superb choice at breakfast. Lovely garden to sit in. We will be back!

breakfast

First of all, there was no staff when we arrived in the afternoon. There was only a huge dog left alone at the entrance so we had to call the managers in order to get the keys. The room needed renovation. It was a very hot day during our stay and it was difficult to breathe inside the room due to the very poor ventilation. We could not open the windows because they were connected to the open terrace where the neighbours were smoking all the time. We asked them to stop smoking but they only laughed at us. If you are afraid of big dogs or if you are allergic to dogs or if you are a non-smoker so this hotel is not for you!

Morning coffee with a view

Modern ground-floor apartment for the couple with small kitchen and top view out of the huge french-type window. It was great to have the terrace for the morning coffee and to enjoy the sunset in the mountains. Super friendly hosts, and their amazing dog who welcomed us warmly in the house. Sauna area is super equipped. Dog-friendly.

Rooms was remodeled and everything was clean and nice. Bathroom and showers were separated and spacious. Beds and sheets were comfortable. Patio was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a nice view overlooking the town with the beautiful mountains in the background. Property had 24 hours free coffee/espresso machines and refreshments such as beer throughout the night where you just have to sign your name on the sheet and open a cold beer after a long day of hiking. Property is also walking distance to the center with great food and activities around such as basketball and soccer to include playgrounds for the kids. Also heard some music in the background of a band playing. Location is perfect. Breakfast was nice, and staff made your eggs upon request. Free parking! Bonus: this property has free passes to many of the tours around the area to include the 5th largest waterfall in the world. We definitely recommend this place

Small discrepancy with the young lady who seems to be in training about a small charge on our bill. She could not identify nor explain some things and simply said “it’s complicated.” We could have easily fixed that by asking the many other professional and kind staff but something that small was not worth taking away from the hotel, rating, nor the overall experience. A must stay!
