Practical but not very welcoming

it was close to Europa Park, only 8 min walk, had also a self serving snack and drinks machine. Simple but effective breakfast, nice terrace. Friendly dog. Airrcon working well.

The description of our room and some reviews on booking from other travellers said no towels, so we wrote to ask if we can hire some. We received a rude reply saying they are not a 1000 beds hotel and we don't provide this. The room did have towels. So even if this was a misunderstanding ,we could have received a nice reply. Also when we got to the property the owner ( we' re guessing he is the owner) was really rude. Just fastly pointing to things, saying rudely he only speaks German when we asked about English and French like we have personally insulted him and gave us the key.

Great attitude, lovely place

The location is perfect, the beds were so comfortable, the size of the apartment is excellent for 2-3 ppl. The owner is amazing- gave us a lift from Ringsheim when we arrived late and tired and ended up walking to Rust. His daughter helped us with information about booking train tickets. Highly suggest!!!

An otherwise fine and convenient stay ruined by the most rude and abusive service I have ever experienced.

It was well placed and clean, very convenient.

There was a miscommunication with the host before check in that caused severe problems. Based on the message I’d received from the host, I attempted to check in after their hours, believing check in must be after 22:00 (though there was a sign on the door stating the check in hours were until 23:00, not the 22:00 he said) and he tried to turn me away despite my having paid in full. He did not respond to my messages throughout the evening asking for the information about check in and trying to check in earlier until after they were closed, then told me that since it was after hours, they could not help me. When I arrived anyway since I had no where else to stay, the host was extremely rude and belligerent, yelled at me and did not let me speak or explain. Eventually the host begrudgingly agreed to check me in as I had already paid for the whole stay. While the rest of the stay was pleasant and I only interacted with the host’s daughter, who was very nice and helpful, the check in debacle was extremely confusing, stressful, and trying and put a damper and anxiety on the rest of my stay. Additionally, the photo shown in the listing is not at all what the room actually looked like. While the room was perfectly fine as it was, it felt rather dishonest that the photos didn’t match the actual place.

Poor

Had all the facilities you'll need but just barely, wouldn't have wanted to cook a meal here (lack of pots/ pans). Very close to the Europa Park and also ok to walk to the Rulantica. The host was uncomplicated concerning the check in and out time since it seems that he simply lives next door which I couldn't have known. The place is humid and there is no good way to air the place. Our clothes we wore one day were humid on the next morning.

Even so it would have been nice if he would have been available 2 hours prior to our arrival because we ran later than expected and he didn't write back nor answered the phone calls. The beds were the most uncomfortable we ever TRIED to sleep in. The two mattresses just wouldn't stay in the frame of the bed so they slipped away over the other mattress. Also the linens were such as to sweat horribly and it would stick to your skin. We actually only needed the bed, the fridge and the bathroom and since the fridge was not plugged and therefore not cold when we arrived late that day and needed to cool our groceries.

Super location - walking distance from Europapark and 5 min drive to Rulantica. Host was super nice and accommodating. Handicapped room was great!! Parking on site made it easy.

Breakfast provided was ok but more fruit would have been nice. But we would still recommend the stay and we would stay again!!

The location was good, approx 10 minutes walk to europapark and 25 minutes walk to rulantica.

Where should we start...at first both of us have travelled a lot and even in third world countries and this is the absolute worst experience for both of us. The welcoming of the landlord was awful, instead of welcoming us and tell us about the property he started to tell us that we should know how ti speak german while in germany, after that he put his palm in the air and said 8 euros, 8 euros for tax thank you. We asked if we could pay by card and then he got upset and said no and was shaking his head while sayibg that we should gave read tgis on

Chamber was nice and clean, enough space and kitchen had everything you need. Plus the bed looked quite cool. Quick 10 minute walk to Europa park, for Rulantica its a bit futher.

Honestly, I wanted to like this, but the host was very quick to anger. He came knocking on our door twice for checkout at 9:30, but he was a day too early. I also went to ask for a new set of towels but he got really mad and told me that if I wanted towel service I should piss off to a 4* accomodation. I was mostly confused because on the site they said they offered towels. You get a set of 2, and you don't get any more, no matter the length of your stay. (We were there for 5 days) On another occasion he also did NOT look happy. The bed looked good but it was soooo thin and collapsed, you were basically laying on the wooden foundation. Also the pillow was so soft (and I love soft pillows!) that you had to fold it twice to resemble anything you can lay on. TLDR; owner is rude and very angry, doens't speak English really, and beds are horrible. Go sleep on the couch instead.

Great last minute getaway

Great place, about 6 or 7 minute walk from main entrance from Europa Park. Decent breakfast, friendly host. Good price considering was booked pretty last minute and was struggling to find somewhere at a decent price to stay that was near to Europa Park

My bus was late, but the owner kindly let me check in after usual time. The breakfast was superb. Everything else also great.

Pleasant

The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. Proximity to the park was nice.

The owner was drunk the first night we got in. He could barely explain everything to us and he reeked of alcohol. The price was not reasonable at all. It was way too expensive for what we got. There was loud commotion, including screaming and fighting and throwing things from the next door neighbors. When we went outside to check on everyone and make sure everyone was okay, the owner of the Gastehaus Mama was outside and appeared to be taking part in the commotion. We eventually had to call the police, who never showed up.

Für uns war ALLES sehr stimmig und wir würden jederzeit wieder hier Gast sein wollen

Die Chemie zwischen unserem Gastgeber und uns hat sofort gepasst und wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, es wurden uns hilfreiche Tipps gegeben und wir konnten den Aufenthalt somit entspannt starten ! Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen wurde sehr liebevoll zubereitet und ließ keine Wünsche offen ! Wir waren an diesem Wochenende auch die einzigen Gäste und hatten somit die volle Aufmerksamkeit von unserem Gastgeber, der uns mit spannenden Anekdoten und Accessoires sehr gut unterhalten hat.Zu guter Letzt durften wir auch senen Hund kennenlernen, den wir am liebsten mit nach Hause genommen hätten ;-) Fazit -> bei unserem nächsten Besuch im Europapark würden wir genau wieder hier übernachten wollen !!!!

Ich kann nichts bemängeln und kann die negativen Bewertungen auch überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen ! Meine Meinung dazu ist -> so wie man in den Wald reinruft, so kommt es auch zurück ;-)

Nie Wieder

Nähe zum Park

Wir hatten 2 Zimmer im Erdgeschoss und beide Badezimmer waren so stark verschlimmert das wir die Badezimmer nicht ohne Schuhe betreten haben und der Wasserdruck war kaum borhanden Kein Wasserglas im Zimmer und der Fernsehr hatte schlechten Empfang auf fast allen Sendern . Zum Frühstück war der Chef dann am Tisch mit einer Echten ausgestopften Vogelspinne und hat uns dann erklären wollen wo die Gedärme der Spinne sind. Dass muss nicht sein!

Kurzer Weg zum Park, alles was man braucht.

Top Lage, direkt zwischen dem Park und Rulantica. Beides ca 10-15 min zu Fuß. Direkte 1 zu 1 Betreuung, des sehr netten Hausherren. Leckeres Frühstücksbuffet. Zimmer mit Klima und sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Nächstes Mal Europapark werden wir sicher wieder hier buchen.

Schöne Unterkunft nah am Europapark

Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Schlüsselübergabe und Rückgabe war sehr einfach und wir durften unser Auto bereits am Anreisetag bei der Unterkunft stehen lassen. Die Ferienwohnung war komplett ausgestattet mit Küche, grossem Kühlschrank und die Möbel sind waren sehr exklusiv (entsprechen den Fotos). Die Lage der Unterkunft ist zentral und der Europapark in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen.

Einziger Wehrmutstropfen war eine fehlende Duschwand oder -Vorhang zwischen Dusche und WC. Nach dem Duschen war es entsprechend schwierig, das Bad ohne nasse Füsse zu bekommen, zu nutzen.

Alles in allem - gerne wieder

Zimmer war groß. Klimaanlage vorhanden Getränke/ Snackautomat vorhanden Gastgeber freundlich Frühstück ausreichend Frisches Obst wurde sogar noch persönlich an den Tisch gebracht. Wenn etwas gefehlt hat, wurde es auch gleich gebracht
