Relaxing place for a night after an extensive hike around lake Nisramont

The wellness & the pool; super clean, organized well! Surprisingly, the bed even if it’s two single beds attached. The liquid soap in the shower was also good. Hotel staff was friendly!

The smell in the room when we enter.. we got the ground floor room 31. It smelled like canal/drainage.. Also, it was on the other side of the hotel. You still need to get out to go to the main lobby & breakfast area. 30 mins walk from the city center of La Roche en Ardennen Breakfast wasn’t that amazing, we’ve expected a little more choices of warm stuffs. Bacon was dry and the eggs weren’t that good. You still need to boil your own egg to get a soft boiled one. Fruits aren’t that fresh either.. the fruitjuices weren’t that fresh. But overal, it was still ok!

Fantastic place for a getaway

Fantastic location and facilities, friendly staff, super dog friendly, awesome breakfast. Parking and restaurant, service by the pool/terrace. The spa was amazing for our taste.

Only small issue, the balcony door was a bit faulty and needs looking at, but not a huge bother.

It was a geographically convenient place to stay for one night but overpriced.

I liked the location. The breakfast offered a respectable range of food choices. Coffee was terrible, unfortunately. Made by a push-button machine.

However the room was offered as a "suite" but it was not a genuine suite. The decoration seemed outmoded. The bed was not of a modern standard, it seemed old. No boxspring. Bed linen seemed old. The remodelled bathroom was equipped with a bathtub and a handheld shower. This combination was intensely dangerous for someone like me, with stability issues, because I need a stable, flat, wet environment. There was no security rail to hold onto, so the shower was not a pleasant experience.

The location, the architecture, the swimming pool and the rooms.

Considering we were in Belgium, which is supposed to be the home of excellent food. It was not great. Would have preferred simple food rather than overly complicated small portions which pretty average.

Location was good for our needs

The road noise at the front of the hotel is bad even with the windows closed, but when the windows are closed it was extremely hot so we didn’t get much sleep at all.

Great Location and Great Value

We absolutely loved the location, the view of the river and the hill behind it. The room was most comfortable and the balcony was a definite plus! The staff was most helpful and the breakfast was varied and tasty !

The hotel was undergoing a renovation and will be even nicer when complete! the proximity to town is perfect just a mile or so. Heavily wooded are and most relaxing

A 2 night stay in the Ardennes

A fantastic location in beautiful grounds. Good sized room. Easy to park. Decent breakfast.

We were told about the building work prior to our stay but after the booking was made, but we were basically staying in a building site. The hotel will be amazing once the work has been completed but on our way to breakfast we had to move stepladders so we could pass, I think the work is far too extensive to enable the hotel to function. We stayed in the outer building which was fine but that also needs updating- the room was dated and the carpet heavily stained, the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied let alone cleaned before our arrival- the hairdryer didn't work, no proper shower just a shower head to hold over yourself in the bath, the toilet roll holder was broken. The man on reception was rude.

Stayed in mid July 2023, the hotel is a major building site, so best avoided currently

The restaurant had a great view and the staff accommodating and the set menu was good value. However the hotel is under major building works when we visited, mid July 2023 and the overall condition was very poor, so I would suggest stay some where else until the works are finished......

We arrived in mid July 2023, the hotel is a building site, dust every where, noise from the works, our room was unpainted, no TV, but we did have a socket sticking out of the wall and hanging cable! The wall backing onto the corridor is paper thin, you can hear people in the room opposite! The door to the room barely locked and would not stay closed by itself. Newly fitted room, but the hotel should have been open due to the works that are on going. We had a road view room and the road is busy and noisy, even with new double glazing, so best to avoid.....

Lovely getaway

It's a third generation-owned property. The family takes pride in their business and is attentive to their guests and their experiences. The rooms were comfortable and clean and offered a stocked mini-fridge. The grounds are beautiful and right along a quiet river with well-maintained paths for hiking and cycling. You can drive into La Roche or take a beautiful path through the countryside. The food at breakfast and in the restaurant was local, seasonal, and delicious.

The garden was lovely.

Both dinner & breakfast were very disappointing given the cost of the hotel. Leaking hand basin meant the floor of the bathroom was wet & no overhead shower.

Garden and location great

We loved the garden and river and closeness to town. It was very hot when we were there but we had a north facing room 14. So even without air con it was fine. The food was great and the menu du jour was particularly good value. Breakfast had a good selection. The staff were also lovely and friendly.

It is a little shabby in places but that really didn’t matter to us.

Super friendly, nice scenery

We chose this hotel because of the electric charging facility for our car, this was great! The staff was very friendly; and the restaurant was super! The location was superb, as we could start our hikes from the hotel

Great hotel facilities but the bedroom was disappointing

The location was great. The garden and the view were excellent. The restaurant had very high quality meals. The atmosphere was cosy.

The bedroom was very small, and the bathroom provide only soap. The faucet was broken. There was no toilet paper holder. That was not a 4 stars bedroom.

The 3 services dinner was excellente. Breakfast is good and a particular attention is made to offer local product. Futhermore the hotel has electric cars chargers.

The bed could be more confy.... and changing the room windows might offer a better sound isolation.
