A convenient, very comfortable hotel, with excellent service from all of the staff we met.

Excellent room size and a very spacious bathroom. Very helpful staff.

There was a little water coming in through the wall from the outside and one of our floor tiles felt a bit loose.

Perfect location for us, close to the port and walking distance all city centre attractions

The pool was closed while we were there but we were advised that in advance. It would have been better to have use of the pool. Also the hairdryer in the room was not strong enough. These are just small issues overall would definitely stay again.

Great choice for our requirements

Clean large rooms, secure parking on site. Welcoming, efficient and friendly staff. 20 min walk to centre of old town Malaga but we knew that so no surprises. We would stay again before an early flight from Malaga

All you could want in a positive hotel experience (minus location)

Beds: Very comfortable WiFi: Reliable Outlets: Next to the bed Shower: Very nice and good pressure Staff: Courteous Noise: Quiet The location of this place isn't what you'd hope for. It's about a 25-35min walk to main sights, and 25min walk to the closest beach. It's misleading on maps being close to the water because that's more of a wharf for ships and machinery. You need to walk out of the ways for an actual beach to sit at. Otherwise, it is close to the train station which is nice. There is a gym and sauna, but both aren't open great hours. But they are still better than most hotels for open hours. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are nice. The breakfast is honestly divine and has most anything you could want from one, and is regularly kept stocked. And not just starchy carbs either, but a wide variety of good foods to enjoy.

Location isn't great, but mainly everything else is. Hours for amenities do not accomodate to work schedules, even though a huge majority of guests are there for conferences. Also, the hammam did not work across 5 days. The pool is cold even though indoor, and the jacuzzi is not warm, which was not great. But at least they have both and they are indoor year round.

It’s a good place, but it has some downsides.

Clean, not far from the city center, and next to the railway station. It also has a good swimming pool and polite staff.

This small restaurant caused a long queue for breakfast in the morning, and it was awful.

A good hotel to come back to after a day of sightseeing and a cool off in the pool.

The breakfast was good, a large selection of items to choose from. Our room was a good size with 2 arm chairs. The pool was a good size with plenty of sunbeds. An easy walk from the bus and train station.

Perfect Stay – Best Hotel in Malaga

Absolutely perfect in every way! Hotel Ilunion in Malaga went above and beyond all my expectations. Spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property, with every detail perfectly maintained. The staff are exceptionally friendly, professional, and available 24/7 — they truly make you feel like a valued guest. My room was spacious, luxuriously comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. The spa area is pure relaxation heaven, and the breakfast is simply outstanding — abundant, varied, and delicious, with something for everyone. The restaurant and bar serve excellent food and drinks at great prices. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel experience I’ve ever had, and if I return to Malaga, I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else!

These are only very small things; we were 3 in a room but only 2 cups/towels, only one of each sort of teabag. The soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty (but we were provided with small bars of soap too, so no problem)

Absolutely excellent

Ilunion hotel is in a great location, offering beautiful modern rooms with great room and hotel facilities. The pool is great and my husband loved the gym and spa facilities. The breakfast offers every possible choice, amazing tea, coffee and fresh juices available. My husband and our friends all loved it. Ilunion has a great restaurant and bar area where we played card games and ate some of the evenings! I would definitely recommend to family and friends and go back there to stay!!

Could have been more sun loungers but really not important in the grand scheme of things.

Three nights in Málaga

I stayed for 3 nights with friends and the hotel was very clean, with excellent facilities. It was in walking distance to the nearest beach and city centre. Excellent stay to enjoy a bit of everything in Málaga. The breakfast was very well presented and tasty. I am looking forward to coming back.
