Walk to main shopping area.

Very good location to walk to town in around 10 minutes. The hotel was very nice, perfectly clean and comfortable beds. Good value for money for a short stay. We were going to Marseille airport next day so it was convenient (30 minutes)

The shower needs replaced as it soaked the floor through the cubicle.

Great staff. Parking was free. Good breakfast. Within walking distance of center city.

At first, some of us found the rooms a little small, but there was so much to do within walking distance that they weren't bothered by it.

Aix is lovely, but clearly draws international tourists and all the hotels seem quite expensive in comparison with other French towns. If you only want to spend the day in Aix and your budget is limited, you might find better value staying outside town and driving in and parking. We needed to be near the centre and it was pleasant to walk into town in the evening.

If you don't mind a ten-minute walk into the centre of the old town, the hotel is fine and well-placed, but it would be a bit too long for some people. We weren't offered the option of using the paying car parking, and the free car parking is limited and difficult (we scraped the car, trying to park on the slope). We had a 'balcony' but it was so small that two people could only stand in it and the view was of a wall. When we arrived, we were ignored by the first member of staff we met who said 'I don't work on reception' but didn't seem to think that she should help or find someone else. (The actual receptionist was fine when she arrived).
