We were really so happy with our stay!! For us, the location was perfect as it was quiet and had a lot of reef and two beaches, where we could snorkel the whole day. We had marvellous views and all just felt like paradise! We had apartments Nr 102 and 103 (check the map on the hotel website), which overlook the sea and beach. They are so spacious and lovely decorated. I think however, we would have been unhappy with the rooms further up close to the road or the restaurant, which is really loud, so steer away from them! The pools were also really nice, with a great view. Breakfast was great, room service offered the complete menue from the restaurant, laundry service was affordable and quick. Make sure you get a couple of thai massages, they were great! (I think the hotel should advertise better for that, they are really hidden under the breakfast room). There was a shelf by the pool with masks, snorkels and other water toys that guests had left behind, as well as books that you could borrow, and this was a really nice thing. Be aware that you cannot walk to other restaurants or the shops, as there is no sidewalk on the very busy street, but just grab a Bolt (260 TBH to Lamai and Chaweng) or one of the hop-on cars that drive around the island. The resort is still in the pick up zone for most activities, like cooking classes and jeep tours, which i think is relevant. If you want busy nightlife, this is not for you, but if you love snorkelling and relaxation, it is perfekt. Finally, I have to mention how friendly and incredibly helpful the staff was, it was amazing and made our week there perfect.

Excellent landscape of the beach!!! Too pitty it is not easy to enter the water to do snorkelling bc of the many big rocks on the sea bottom. You definetelly need water shoes.

Sea bottom with too many big rocks but that is not a fault of the hotel.

It was beachfront but the rocks and coral are very sharp. Staff were pleasant.

It is difficult walking anywhere without using the main road and the road is very busy. We were originally placed in a room next to the road and hardly got any sleep for the first 3 nights until we upgraded to a room near the pool area. I had booked and prepaid for our accommodation 6 months in advance and were given the worst room in the resort.
