Ca' San Rocco

A small boutique hotel in a quiet and secure location with a private walled garden, yet only 7min walk from the grand canal/SLucia station Authentic styling and a fanatistic breakfast terrace. The staff were very helpful during our 3-night stay with included breakfast.

The stairs were no problem for us but might be difficult for others

Lovely property, very clean. Easy walking distance to bus station. Nice area with few close eating places/bars.

Breakfast sufficed but could have been better. Freshly made coffees were nice touch.

-Close to both the main transit area as well as anywhere else you want to be in Venice within a 20 minute walk. -The room was clean and tidy, bathroom was well stocked, the bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. The shutters helped keep out the mid day heat. I can’t speak to the TB because we did not use it. -The owners/managers were amazing very communicative, helpful with guidance on the check-in process and tourist tax, and flexible when our plans changed. They were friendly and patient, and they kindly let us keep our luggage at the desk for an hour or so after checkout. -The employee who manages breakfast was amazing as well, very kind and responsive and made delicious cappuccino and espresso for us -The breakfast itself was perfect, a variety of bread, meat and cheese, coffee, fruit, pastry, and egg muffins. Just the right amount before a day of exploring. The breakfast was offered on a super cute and charming patio area. Altogether it was an amazing space and experience !!

-Nothing, everything was perfect, it would be cool if the patio was open past breakfast, but understand that they need to keep the areas secure with staff not on site 24/7.

Wow, where yo start! The air con was not working properly. It was so noisy and was not cooling enough. I had a digital thermometer which showed room temperature flactuating between 25-27 celsius. We were there during a heat wave and reception told us because of the high outside temperature, air cons were not functioning efficiently. We had a double bed room but it was two single beds and mattresses put side by side without proper strapping. The mattresses kept seperating at nights. The bathroom did not get any effect from air con. And it was boiling. We were literally sweating whilst having a cold shower. The cleaning lady is an amazing person. She did wonders for things beyond her limits. In the morning we noticed floor was covered by ants. I am afraid some of the Italian ants travelled home with us. As I said the cleaning lady did her best but hotel needs things smt more than a good cleaning lady. By the way we were on second floor and there were ants.
