Having looked for a room last-minute (in walking distance to relatives), I felt very fortunate to find this place and at a reasonable price.
It wasn't until I arrived at the hotel that I could fully appreciate my luck: a small boutique baroque-y hotel with lovely front/reception, and (!) I was upgraded to a fabulous, huge room (17) from a single room at no extra cost.
The decor isn't minimalist and could be updated here and there - but that's fine given the size;
the location was superb, with good transport links (bus in front of the door), halfway between relatives and the Alster, in Uhlenhorst.
At present, the hotel does not serve full breakfast, just some coffee and juice - yet there is a bakery a couple of doors up the rood.
For the price I paid, I'd defo book it again, right away.
