Hotel at excellent location with fraudulent practices.

Excellent location, charming setting next to the church and the cute bridge. Cleanliness is acceptable

The main factor for the rating is due to being charged twice for the hotel stay. The front desk confirmed they the payment needs to be made at the front desk itself which was done while checking in. But at the same time, a payment for the same amount was deducted from the bank account provided for guaranteeing the stay which was noticed couple of days after the stay. The hotel confirmed by email this was caused by an error on the booking.com platform but has since gone silent on the refund of the excess amount charged. Subsequent follow ups with booking.com customer service has also been of no use even after providing proof of the excess amount charged. Extremely tiny rooms, which are very old.

The location. My room was at the top floor so really quiet. Windows open on the church roof. The room was standard but did the job

Worst hotel ever - owner is a horrible person

The hotel was located in the centre of town.

Our stay at this hotel was horrible. First the television didn't work. It didn't even turn on. When we asked the staff for help they said they didn't know what to do. Then in the morning, the ceiling started to drip in the room. Lots of dirty water was coming into the room and dirtying our stuff. We put towels on the floor and the water was yellow. We went to see the owner downstairs and he blamed the guests staying in the room. But it was a recurring problem as I had noticed a stain on the ceiling the night beforem He said he couldn't fix the tv last night because it was too late wheb he was told by his staff and it was the fault of the previous guests who broke it. So basically all the problems in his hotel were because of the guests. When we checked out I asked for a refund of 30%. He said no. When I said I was not going to pay he threatened to call the police. He basically laughed at us and said that he didn't care if he got a bad review on Booking because his hotel was always booked. This was the worst stay at a hotel in all my life and I travel a lot This interaction with this dispicable man ruined my stay in Annecy and triggered my anxiety very deeply. I have never met someone so careless about clients.

Super enjoyable and gorgeous location.

Loved the character of the hotel, the property had real personality. The location was superb and my room had a stunning view of the canal. It was good value for money and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location could hardly be any better, the hotel is in the old centre, near the river and all the restaurants. Beautiful area. The hotel itself feels old and authentic.

Because it's in the centre, it isn't possible to park directly at the hotel, the nearest car park isn't far away nor expensive, but it makes carrying luggages complicated, especially since the are no elevators in the hotel. Prepare a light pack for this one.

Easy check in and out. Great location in the town centre, however as a result it was a bit noisy at night (partying people) and first thing in the morning (delivery lorries etc)

Great location! Good for family of 4 persons,we had 4 beds in the room. Parking of hotel de ville is not far away. The receptionist helpet to rembourse 50% of coast. For 2 days we've played 9,5 euros.

A great location and really affordable. We were concerned about the negative reviews but the room was clean, safe, comfortable. Open the shutters and see the heart of the old town. It is a historic old building but nothing wrong with that

Historic, no frills hotel right in the center of Annecy.

Historic building in a fantastic location, right on the main square and canal. everything is right outside your door. The beautiful lake is a 5 minute stroll way. Annecy is a beautiful town with lots of outdoor activities. Goel the owner/manager is a gem and a great host.

Small room but adequate for a short stay with a beautiful view of the canal. Narrow staircase and no lift. Driving directly to the hotel is a challenge. Better to go directly to the public parking at the Hotel DeVille and walk 200 m to the hotel. The hotel will validate the overnight parking.

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. I would say it has the best location in Annecy right in the heart of the old city

We stayed in this hotel about 30 years ago and it would appear that very little attention has been paid to it. since TV's did not work, shower was dodgy, broken articles in closets, decorations were adequate, overall a bit shabby
