A very good location right in the heart of the tourist area, eo it's walking distance to almost all the places you'd want to visit. There is a market down a nearby street every few days - check dates so you don't miss it. The lake is very close and a nice walk in mild weather. I walked in cloudy weather and was getting cold to the bones, even with brisk walking. Annecy is an ideal gourmand paradise, and true gem...if you skip past the hobos, dogs and pigeons that congregate in busy areas like the main square. My stay was comfortable, and despite the young age of the staff, they were mostly positive and happy to help. Note, there is no secure luggage storage - they leave it in the bar/breakfast area. The room was good, with street view, and all the things you'd need, except I didn't notice any desk or place to put my things. The room is decorated in a modern low key style. The breakfast was delicious - I mean cheese, meats, croissants, butter and jams, and personally made coffee - so delicious. I only stayed 1 night, but would consider this place if I ever visited Annecy again in my lifetime.
