Superb place to stay in Naxos

Everything! We were met at the port by Vagelis the owner who immediately took my bag and started a lovely and informative walk up through the old town to our accomodation. What a delightful room equiped with everything we needed for our 3 day stay on this wonderful island. Gifts galore, a lovely bottle of wine from his family, postcards, fruit and equiped kitchen. Toiletries gown and slippers, and the MOST comfortable bed we have had our entire holiday. Decor very unique and beautiful. Artefacts in the floor showing the age of the hotel . We loved the Vagelis was so informative and proud of his home and heritage. We arrived early and this was no problem for him. Sat in the courtyard using fantastic Wi Fi while Vera finished cleaning the room. We were in by 12 ready to explore after a rest. He even organised a car which was delivered to us at no fuss the next morning. On the morning if our departure a lovely gift was left for us on our door. A handwoven apron, so special. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and would love to stay here again.

Like I had dreamed of!

This property is genuinely 500 years old, handed down to the current owner by 20 grandfathers. Perfect position in the old town. You walk through a labyrinth of cobblestone streets with blue doors and amazing history. We loved it! Our host was super friendly and came to pick us up at the port as Google Maps would never have helped us find our way. The courtyard was so beautiful, sitting there for my morning coffee was like my dream of Greece had come true. Very comfortable bed too which is so important.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Maxos

Beautiful apartment right in the center of town close to everything but quiet. Host was amazing and picked us up from the dock to help guide us to the apartment. Extremely friendly and provided lots of great local suggestions.

Quaint apartment in heart of the old town.

Ancient apartment fight in the heart of the old pedestrian city. The rooms a filled with interesting antiques. the bedroom was lovely and the mattress was firm, which I liked.

The sitting/dining room had a daybed and a dining table with hard dining chairs. There was no comfortable chair and the day bed would have needed bolsters or pillows to make it suitable for reading. The price was great!

Do not miss out on this Naxos gem!

If you are a fan of history - as I am - you will love staying in these beautifully renovated apartments in this 500+ year-old home. Every possible amenity has been thoughtfully provided, not to mention the incredibly comfortable bed. I had my most restful sleep in years here! I also loved sitting in the charming courtyard under the grape arbor during the afternoons. Vagelis could not have been a more gracious and welcoming host - even meeting our ferry at the port to help us find our way. He even had wine and jam from his farm waiting for us. I appreciated being a short walk away from all the amenities of Chora/Naxos Town, but not being in the middle of the shops/restaurants, so it was always quiet and relaxing when I came "home." I come to Naxos often, and I will ALWAYS stay here in the future. I am almost hesitant to tell you all how wonderful it is, as I always want it to be available for me!

Charming traditional style apartment in The old town, lovely corner to spend a few days in.

Absolutely charming apartments located in a very peaceful corner of the okd town. The owner Vagelis kindly met me off the bost and escorted me to the accommodation. Lovely room with all facilities, v good internet and I felt very much at home. The waterfront is just a short walk away with cafes, shops, atm etc. Very hospitable and friendly staff and I will surely be back!

Lovely authentic Cycladic apartment close to everything in Old Town Naxos Chora.

It was great to have a centrally located yet quiet apartment in old town, Naxos Chora. Vagelis met us at the port, walked us to the apartment and showed us the amenities. The area was very walkable and close to many tavernas, shops, general supplies, entertainment etc. Vagelis was available by message if any questions arose. Overall a lovely stay and one of our best Greek memories. Thank you!

1. Blankets and sheets seemed a bit short for the sides of the bed with two sharing. 2. Would have liked something to make coffee with (pour over?) for the kitchen. 3. A musty smell in the wardrobe.

An atmospheric and interesting place.

This place is in Naxos chora, a very scenic and interesting old neighborhood. The building is old and the interior has a lovely atmosphere. I stayed in an efficiency. The quality of the finish, the decor and furnishings was a bit uneven. The exposed rock walls are beautiful, but damaged by installment of wires and not finished neatly. There was no place to sit except on the bed, but the proprietor (reluctantly) brought a chair for me. There was a lovely light over the bed, but the kitchenette was lit by just a bulb hanging from the ceiling. Breakfast is not available. Guests are given a bottle of white wine and sour orange jam, all from the proprietor's estate.

The efficiency is small, so there is no point in complaining about a small shower...

Very neat and historical accommodation in the old city. Lots of facilities in the unit, including a bottle of wine and jam. Very helpful and congenial host. Excellent communicator.Met me at the port, which was important because the apartment is somewhat difficult to find. Solar heating for hot water.

Slightly difficult to find on windy streets in the old town. GPS doesn’t work well in these situations.

Imagine a quintessentially Greek apartment in an old Greek town. It was a delight.

Spacious and comfortable. Lovely situation in the old town. Host was extremely friendly and considerate. He left us a bottle of his farm wine and homemade marmalade, scrumptious. He also met us at the ferry port which was very kind as I’m sure we would’ve got lost trying to find our own way here.

Authentic Naxos experience

The owner met us at the ferry to escort us to the property. Loved all of the historic aspects of the property and the area. Extras provided by the host - marmalade and fruit. Nice, private courtyard.

Sharing our small bathroom with the mop, bucket and cleaning supplies. Shower was only handheld with nowhere to position the faucet on the wall.

Fantastic characterful rental. Super friendly host shared wine and marmalade from his farm. Comfortable bed, very quiet and dark. We slept great! Perfect location in old Naxos. Easy to find after a few attempts. Do not miss out on this wonderful stay.

Good option in old part of Naxos

Vagelis, the host, was great. He met us at the harbour and took us to the flat and told us about its history and facilities. He also provided complimentary wine, marmalade, and apples, and regularly checked everything was OK. The flat was well furnished, quiet and very clean. It was thoroughly serviced each day. It had the usual facilities, incl. a safe, and the kitchen was well equipped, including a stove and a good-sized fridge. The courtyard was good for relaxing and had clotheslines you could use to air towels and bathmats. The flat is in the old town, just below the castle, which has a lot of character (and cats), but only 10 minutes to the waterfront, shops, restaurants, port etc. Once you know the way, the route to the town centre is actually straightforward. There is lots to see in Naxos. Four days was not enough.

The bathroom, and particularly the shower recess, are on the smaller size but functional. The bedroom curtains let in the early morning sun. Overall, however, the flat offered great value for money. Would stay again.

Excellent choice for short or long stay

Beautiful and cozy place at the heart of Chora. 10 minutes walking distance to the port, a place with huge history and friendly staff that will make you love it. Mr Vangelis was an excellent host, very accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. The place itself is quiet and relaxing, traditionally decorated that shows its great history. Numerous of restaurants and bars in walking distance.
