Katharsis - 15th c Venetian Palace - Naxos Old Town I

What a fascinating and great stay, we wished that we could have stayed longer. The location was perfect, behind the beautiful cathedral and in the midst of all the old historical buildings. Right in the middle of the old town with all its labyrinth of narrow, marble-paved Cycladic alleys. It was very quiet, but close to everything. The apartment was fantastic and contained all we needed and beyond. It was beautiful renovated with an eye for the historical details. There was all-day access included to a nearby rooftop with chairs and tables. The rooftop provides gorgeous and unbeatable views of the sunsets, Portara, Chora, the ocean and inland mountains . We enjoyed our breakfast on the rooftop in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening watching the sun set behind Portara. The host was historical knowledgeable and gave us a short tour around the old buildings close to the apartment. He was very friendly and helpful.

The host came to pick me up at the port, simplifying access to the property. The host was enthusiastic and showed me around the building which is historical and very interesting. I liked the position of the apartment, at the top of the hill and behind a beautiful church.

This is a gorgeous place at the top of the hill in Naxos town. Very quiet, just around the church inside a beautfiul old Venitian building. The room itself was very spatious, with a large and modern shower. The stunning view from the communal terrace over the sunset and the Temple of Apollo makes this perfeclty located apartment even more special. Usually, the host will contact you and help you take the luggage up the hill. Also, you get an optional tour through the building with firsthand historical and archeological insights into the history of Naxos and its Venetian era in particular.

Nothing crucial, really - there is currently no housekeeping service, however, you are equipped with everything you need, including a washing mashine with drying functionality, detergent, an iron and an ironing board etc. One minor thing: there could be a little more variety in the pots and pans provided.

The room was fantastic, the location was great being in the middle old town.
