honestly the noise and behaviour of the tourists from China, in lifts and in lobby

Stayed in family room; Room is spacious with proper SS bed for my daughter. Had good sleep as enjoyed the firm mattress used. There were no musky or unpleasant smells as noted by sime reviewers. Check in was hassle free. Love the location as bus stop is right in front of entrance. There are several buses that takes me to newton MRT - 2 bus stops away. Novena Sq/ Goldhill Plaza/ Velocity are all within short walking distances.

Hotel looks a little dated but that’s purely aesthetic ; It only matters if one is looking to relax in a resort type hotel. Non consequential if you’re out most day & need a clean space to rest. Internet connection was not great. Line keeps dropping & gets laggy.

The staff was very nice and the room was always clean. No smoking in entire hotel was also a great option. Maybe its a Singapore thing. The pool was also okay.

The hotel assets are quite run down. Its visible everywhere, lift doors, room doors, bathroom facilities. Scratches, marks, dents, peeled off layers. Exterior wall in the pool area. Pool showers. Everything needs a giant overhaul. The A/C in my room was leaking water through the wardrobe. Its a nice building in a decent spot, so deserves that investment.
