The Initial Residence

Staff was responsive and helpful. When the washer and dryer were not working, they allowed me to use the other machines on another floor. Also, they brought in a drying rack. Location was very convenient . I had a good time being there for 2 weeks.

Staff will need to check the washer so that it is functioning properly. The machine was vibrating so loud and even moved with all the vibration. Thankfully, they took care of it. The bed is set up that you can only climb out on one side .

Room is large and comfy for the price. Staff are friendly and treat guests like family. Location is relatively convenient. Bus routes go into the city center. However, to access the MRT (metro) stations, require to take the bus to get to the stations. Right next door is a large supermarket (NTUC), so groceries are easy to get. Room has a large fridge

Issues with some other guests cooking heavy duty food (such as curries or spicy foods), left an aroma in the air around the common areas. This is not a problem with the property, more about other guests

Friendly and helpful staff Unfortunately no subway in walking distance but a bus link to an interchange.. Excellent local restaurants

The cafe was good, friendly staff and good coffee. Proximity to most places by taxi was good. Front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.

These are no so much criticisms but things that could be improved. Overall we had an enjoyable stay. Housekeeping never came although we were told they would be every second day. Our room was very wet smelling due to a leaking pipe from inadequate plumbing under the bathroom sink. We had thrown dirty clothes and towels under there and everything got soaked from a leaking pipe. This pipe also caused water on the floor around the toilet and bin. The kitchen had an ant problem. We had to store all food items in the fridge so ants would not get in to our food. They were in cupboards, on bench tops and would find any food or crumb anywhere in the apartment. The plates/cutlery etc provided were just adequate (no teaspoons)No provisions for children like non breakable plate/cup. No basic supplies, no frypan or small cooking pots, only 1 saucepan. No coffee maker, No wine glasses. No bowls/colander/serving plates etc if you are planning on making your own meals. There was a huge list of breakage costs listed for our room which was very off putting and made us feel like we couldn't use anything in case we accidentally broke it and had to pay for it. The washing machine needs cleaning also as it left dark fibres all over our clean clothes after drying. Also, many countries are not used to cigarette smoke in public anymore. Having staff smoking on a break at the front door is horrible. Checking also that litter is picked up daily from the front entrance to the hotel would make waiting for a taxi/Grab ride a lot more enjoyable.
