Nice location, not really for family with small children

Nice terrace and view

Bathroom was tiny—there wasn’t even a place to hang a towel. The kitchen was barely usable: the stove and microwave took up most of the counter space, making meal prep difficult. The dining table had outdoor furniture instead of proper chairs. Parking wasn’t directly at the apartment.

nice place to go for winter holidays very quiet and nice people around The accommodation it was nice and clean, kitchen fitted with everything you need to do your own meal perfect for us (2 adults and one 8 years old child)

Great, quiet location, great value for money!!!

Wonderful area for hiking, ebike rental round the corner. Modern apartment, kitchen fully equipped. The beds are really comfortable. Great view from the balcony.

As no surprise in an old building it is poorly sound-proofed; not the place for honeymoon… ;-) Beware: Parking in Scharnitz is only allowed in the official parking lots. You are in trouble if you try and park anywhere else. One parking spot was included in the rental, though.

Excellent apartment for 2-4 people - great value for money! Seefeld skiing just 10 mins away...

Excellent location. Interior very clean modern, but cozy, functional and well equipped. We where just two but you can stay with 4 people if you are on a small budget and just want two separate bedrooms for two couples (e.g. if you are out hiking/skiing/mountainbiking all day). There is a bedroom and a lounge/kitchen with a foldable couch for two. The owner send us a load of infos and directions which came in very useful (e.g. shopping, restaurants, sites...)

Nothing to mention... - except maybe: You do need to follow the directions (link in google maps) you get from the owner to find the location as Scharnitz streets are oddly numbered (why is that???) If you just type in the address (which we did) you get lost...

Exceptional

We stayed at Karwendel Apartment for one night after a long hike around the beautiful Scharnitz area. The host made it very easy for us to check in and out. The apartment was clean, very cozy and well equipped with a beautiful balcony view. 100% recommend!

Best location if you go snowboarding in the nearby Snowboard Bangerpark - best value for money!!!

We went Snowboard-Jumping in the brand-new Bangerpark and it was fantastic! There are two jumps already, the 3rd one is being built. It is just pure fun practicing jumps with no risk and landing safely in a big air cushion! 'Karwendel Apartments Scharnitz' is the nearest accomodation to the jumps and certainly the best value for money! Fully equipped with everything you need, great box-spring beds, free parking, good wifi and a perfect view from the balcony!

We took the larger apartment as some guests complained that the smaller apartment is too small. However, after having a look at the smaller one we realised we could have safed some money...:-( Surely it would have been enough for us - surely for two people and even for a family or group of four if you just spend a couple of days... Just read the descriptions and trust the photos...

الشقه صغيره جدا عدم نضافة الاريكه فيها رائحة كريهه صغر الحمام الموقع على الحدود النمساويه لا تنفع لمن يتنقل لقارميش وجود التلفاز خلف باب البلكونه بحيث لو فتح الباب دمر التلفاز مثل ما حصل معي ولم اعلم بتدمير الا بعد الخروج من السكن تلقيت ايميل من بوكنق بدفع الضرر تم دفع 200 يورو ولم اكن اعلم اتمنى الحذر واليكم صور الباب مع التلفاز The apartment is very small. The sofa is not clean and has a bad smell. The bathroom is small. The location on the Austrian border makes it unsuitable for those moving to Garmisch. The TV is located behind the balcony door, so if you open the door, it will be destroyed. This happened to me, and I didn't find out about the damage until after I left the apartment. I received an email from Booking asking for payment of the damage. I paid 200 euros, and I didn't know. Please be careful. Here are pictures of the door and the TV.

Ruhige Auszeit am Tor zum Karwendel

Wir waren rundum sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt! Der späte Check-in nach 22:00 Uhr hat problemlos funktioniert – alles war super organisiert und unkompliziert. Die Unterkunft selbst war sehr sauber, gemütlich und ruhig gelegen – genau wie beschrieben. Für unsere Touren ins Karwendelgebirge war die Lage einfach perfekt. Wir konnten direkt von der Haustür aus starten und haben die Tage in der Natur sehr genossen.

Respektloser Gastgeber, unpassende Ersatzwohnung – pure Enttäuschung. Nie wieder.

Leider absolut nichts. Die Unterkunft entsprach in keiner Weise unserer Buchung. Keine Aussicht, verschlossene Zimmer, unhöflicher Gastgeber, unklare Kommunikation – unsere Erwartungen wurden komplett enttäuscht.

Wir haben diese Wohnung gebucht, weil sie mit Aussicht, Balkon und großen Fenstern beworben wurde – genau das war entscheidend, da es ein Geschenk für meine 67-jährige Mutter war. Umso größer die Enttäuschung, als wir am Tag der Anreise (nach mehrfacher, ignorierter Kontaktaufnahme!) erfuhren, dass die Wohnung angeblich wegen eines Wasserschadens nicht nutzbar sei. Stattdessen wurde uns eine "größere" Wohnung angeboten, aber ohne alles, was wir eigentlich wollten: kleine Fenster, keine Aussicht – nur Wand auf Wand. Unsere Nachfrage nach Alternativen wurde einfach abgelehnt. Und eine "kostenlose Stornierung" ein paar Stunden vor dem Check-in, während wir schon im Urlaub waren, war für uns keine echte Option. Wir hatten Urlaub genommen, geplant, organisiert – alles für diesen Aufenthalt. Widerwillig akzeptierten wir die Ersatzwohnung, obwohl zwei Zimmer abgeschlossen waren – das versprochene „Upgrade“ war also nicht mal voll nutzbar. Aber schlimmer noch: Als wir wegen kaputter Fernbedienung und eiskaltem Schlafzimmer per SMS nachfragten, kam der Gastgeber persönlich – und begegnete uns mit absoluter Gleichgültigkeit und Arroganz. Keine Entschuldigung, kein Verständnis. Stattdessen Kommentare wie „Ihr werdet schon nicht erfrieren“ oder „Dann schaltet halt am Receiver um“. Für uns war das kein Aufenthalt, sondern Frust pur. Das Schlafsofa war so unbequem, dass man die Holzstreben im Rücken spürte. Ich selbst habe gefroren, weil ich meiner Frau meine Decke gegeben habe. **Ein geplanter Erholungsurlaub wurde zu einem stressigen, frustrierenden Erlebnis. Für uns war es ein verlorener Tag und ein Geschenk, das völlig daneben ging. So etwas sollte anderen erspart bleiben. Nie wieder – absolut nicht empfehlenswert.**
