Fantastic for a night

The location was fantastic in the old walled city. We enjoyed walking around for dinner. The apartment had fantastic windows and everything that was needed. It had lovely decor and was modern.

We had one night's stay so it was fine for us but the sofa bed was missing a slat and not that comfortable. I can appreciate that it wouldn't be easy to replace furniture in the apartment as the stairs are narrow.

Excellent overall and I would happily book again

Some confusion re access to tke key to the apartment. Having entered the front door I understood that there was a secure box in the hall containing the key to the apartment. In fact the key was in a secure box next to the door of the apartment on the first floor.

Recommended, but be aware of surprise €30 cleaning fee

Perfect location, renovated place, comfortable. Friendly and responsive host.

The host, after the reservation was completed, announced a surprise 30 Euros fee for cleaning, or we can not have a fee by turning ourselves into a cleaning employee and clean the place. This was mentioned nowhere in the English description of the place on booking.com and was a very unwelcomed 20% surprise fee. I refused either options as they were not part of the contractual agreement when I booked the place. This should be disclosed before booking, not after. Christophe, besides our disagreement on this, is a very nice guy, I still made an effort to leave a tidy place, most of it was untouched.

The location is fantastic - in the heart of the walled old town. It's right across the street from an enclosed farmer's market (although not open every day), less than 1 min. from lots of restaurants, and quick walk to the beach. The large windows let in lots of light. Not quite as polished as it appears in some of the photos, but the apartment worked well for us. We would consider booking it again.

The listing should clearly explain in the "fine print" section that there is a cleaning regime - do some tidying before leaving or pay an extra fee (EUR 30, if I recall correctly). This policy appears to be an attempt to get the renter to leave the apartment in a decent condition, which is understandable. I presume (and hope) this isn't the only cleaning that takes place in between renters. More transparency in the listing would clarify this.

Location! Also the apartment is cozy.

We were very surprised to find out, that we had to clean the apartment after our stay or else pay a 50 euro fine (there’s a notice on the door). We checked, it’s not mentioned anywhere in the description at Booking.com. For me this means also, that the apartment is not really well cleaned, if they mainly rely on their guests cleaning :(

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et l'appartement était parfait.

L'appartement était vraiment super pour deux personnes. Le gros point positif est vraiment son emplacement en plein centre du coeur historique de St Malo.

Tout était très bien, nous avons simplement eu du mal a faire fonctionner le sèche serviette dans la salle de bain. A part ça, c'était parfait.

L'emplacement intra-muros très sympa mais parking pour la voiture un peu loin. Endroit calme à cette période ! Logement bien agencé et petit balcon très sympa pour les fumeurs.

La fraîcheur naturelle du logement liée au manque de soleil en intra-muros. Il faisait à cette période de l'année plus frais dans le logement que dehors, ce qui n'était pas très agréable.

Appartement très bien situé , fonctionnel . Confortable . Seul petit bémol : nous étions 4 et le dernier à avoir prit sa douche l'a prise froide . Hôte sympathique et réactif aux messages . Il y a de la place le long des remparts pour se garer facilement . Nous gardons l'adresse !
