Loved my stay - perfectly located for places to hike, amenities, and transport links. No problems with the cottage whatsoever - it felt like a home from home. Great to be able to do activities during the day and come back to a decent shower and peaceful setting.

We liked that the property was close to town centre and the park and had lots of places to eat on the doorstep.
We didn't like the parking situation and found the description to be very misleading. Only after we booked and paid for our stay we were then told parking was down a very narrow entrance way unsuitable for large cars with limited spaces on a first come basis. 2 of the bays we couldn't use as these were private parking. This we feel should be made clear before you booked.
The sofa was small and uncomfortable so you couldn't relax properly at night and also we were unable to use the log burner as we didn't have a clue what to do. As a couple who have never used one before we think that having some instructions at hand would have been beneficial.
The blind in the bathroom was broken and the property across from the window were having work done so the workmen could see straight in to us using the toilet which was very uncomfortable. We had to go into sykes office to report it but it should have been changed before we got there.
We didn't use the kitchen as we ate out every day so can't comment on that.
The mattress could do with replacing as because it is 2 single mattresses zipped together we found it dipped in the middle and we were constantly rolling into the dip. We both didn't sleep good at all.
