The booking process was easy. The info provided by Keswick Cottages regarding location, parking and key entry was all clear and easy to understand. The Gretaside accommodation was clean and well presented and everything in it was a high standard. The welcome pack and dog treats were a lovely touch. Its a very central property but also nice and quiet, only the sound of the river babbling away in the background. I'd happily book with Keswick Cottages again or recommend to friends.

The apartment was great , small but ideal for 2 and a dog . It was very clean and the welcome packs were much appreciated . The location was superb , central and not far from the beautiful park. The fact it had a parking space was very useful too. We wouid definitely recommend Keswick cottages as a booking agent , the digital guidebook and their customer service was excellent , we would definitely book via them again .

We had a short but very enjoyable stay in this excellent accommodation. Keswick was amazing and we also explored Ambleside and took the boat down Windermere to Bowness. On the two brief occasions I spoke to staff they were professional, proficient and very personable and, need I say it, helpful. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Apartment was expected to be compact but photos were cleverly taken to give the impression of more space. However, it was in a clean condition. Bedroom had a narrow wardrobe either side of the bed, the left hand one was half filled with a vacuum cleaner! No room really to swing a cat. Kitchen was new and cleverly laid out to make the most of the limited space. Lounge had a round dining table which was taking up space and blocked access to the limited electric sockets. Bathroom was fine but the water pressure a bit low from the electric shower. Walls were thin and noise and voices can be heard from neighbouring apartments. Main issue experienced was some type of humming extractor type noise coming from ceiling area above kitchen and bathroom. This was reported to Keswick Cottages on our second day as the noise was severely disrupting sleep.

Gretaside was a new to me accommodation as I usually stay in regular self catering apartments. As an ex self catering owner always have a critical eye, needn’t have worried. An absolutely lovely comfortable apartment with everything you need. Clean and modern and an absolutely lovely view of the river and fells beyond from the bedroom, really comfortable bed. Great location with parking two mins walk into town centre.

We had a fabulous few days at Gretaside the weather was hot and sunny the whole stay. The apartment was comfortable, quiet and well equipped, a stones throw from the centre of Keswick and the location near to the park was a bonus for us as we have a dog. A small cosy apartment suitable for a couple and dog. We would be happy to stay here again.

The dog and I had a very pleasant stay in the flat that is on the top floor. This overlooks the river and Fitz park, great for walking the dog first thing and last thing at night. It was lovely and peaceful and very handy for the town and Derwent Water. The shower is not very powerful but otherwise but otherwise everything else is very comfortable.

This is a very comfortable apartment situated in a great location, very convenient for the town centre yet tucked away in a quiet corner overlooking the river. It's quite small but fine for a couple. Got a good night's sleep as it was so quiet and peaceful. Nice to be able to go out and walk along by the river.

Small but very nice 1 bedroom apartment. Bedroom is a bit cramped for two, but overflow can go in the living room! Bed is quite firm, but good. Kitchen is well appointed and functional. When turning on shower use a firm pull on the switch cord.

2nd time of staying here, a small but comfortable flat, dog friendly and a parking space for the car. The view out of the bedroom window over the river and Fitz park is fantastic. Ideal for 2 people who do not need a lot of room and fairly fit as it is on the top floor. It is clean and well equipped. Very close to the town Center and amenities. We love it and hopefully will stay again sometime soon.

Gretaside is in a marvellous location, we parked up and didn't use the car again as everything is accessible by foot. The apartment is smaller than it appears on the pictures, but it is very well appointed and so clean and tidy, for 2 people and a dog, it was perfect. The only criticism we had is that we found the bed to be very uncomfortable, it is very hard, and by the second day my back was painful, so much so that we decided not to stay on our third night and drove home earlier than planned. The mattress is extremely firm and hard, and it didn't suit us at all, it spoiled what would have been the perfect stay.

The apartment is in a fantastic location adjacent to Fitz Park and also the town centre. This made the holiday! It is actually much smaller than it looks on the photos but is well appointed. Two floors up but that didn’t bother us. Although dog friendly, it was completely carpeted apart from the tiny kitchen which is not ideal for a dog friendly place in the Lake District in February. Consequently we thought the living room carpet seemed a bit grubby. Hard floors would be much more appropriate. The bed was a bit hard for us but that is personal taste. We would stay there again.

Gretaside is a lovely little apartment with parking in central Keswick. It’s homely, warm and very well situated. It’s lovely to hear the sound of the river whilst drifting off to sleep. We had a great weekend here and would highly recommend both the property and Keswick Cottages.

We stayed here for 3 nights in November. The location is excellent, central to Keswick, with excellent private parking included. The property is small but big enough for our needs. And is well decorated throughout. It was very clean and well looked after and I look forward to staying here again in the future as long as they don’t increase their prices. Would defiantly recommend to any couple looking for a small convenient place to stay in Keswick. The place we stayed was on the second floor so would not suit anyone who maybe couldn’t manage two flights of stairs.

Compact and bijou but with everything we needed for our 4 night stay in Keswick :-) A cosy space for the two of us with the space put creatively to use. The apartment is in a lovely quiet location with parking and a short walk from the town. Great views from the bedroom over Fitz Park to Latrigg Fell and the River Greta bubbling away soothingly underneath our bedroom window was just lovely. Thank you for the Welcome Pack too ! The apartment met our needs perfectly. It was in a great location and we enjoyed exploring Keswick and the surrounding area. The kitchen is small if you’re planning on cooking but it didn’t concern me as I refuse to cook on holiday! It was good to have parking in the town although we didn’t use the car once we’d arrived. Would definitely book again.

We stayed for a week at Gretaside. A lovely little apartment for two and our dog. The bedroom is very small however, the space has been put to good use to ensure wardrobe and drawer space. Excellent location - we only used the car once during our stay as we were able to walk everyday from the apartment. Nice to have Fitz Park on the doorstep for early morning dog walks. It would be nice to have a bench or seats outside like the adjacent apartment does - we were envious of their ability to catch the sun whilst enjoying a drink!
