About this cottage rental

This home from home is well appointed and beautifully furnished throughout to ensure a comfortable stay. The modern kitchen is extremely well equipped and includes a full size fridge-freezer and washing machine. The living/dining space looks out towards Skiddaw and Latrigg and features a comfortable grey sofa and Smart TV with access to Sky TV + Netflix. The dining table for two is positioned by the window so you can admire the stunning fell views while you dine and enjoy a glass of wine after a day of adventures. The bedroom has a double bed dressed in quality linen, dressing table and ample storage. The modern bathroom has a heated towel rail, WC, washbasin with cabinet, mirror and bath with shower over. The owners provide some lovely little extras including soaps, shampoo and conditioner. There is one allocated parking space in the private car park.

Me, my partner and the dog had an amazing 3 night stay at Skiddaw View apartment. It was exactly as described with some thoughtful extras. It was my partners 40th birthday and they had left a card and prosecco for our arrival, as well as a doggy gift pack, to mention a few. Really appreciate the personal touches. The apartment was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well equipped and sofa was comfortable. The view was fab and it was lovely to see what we’d climbed up from the window. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Lovely apartment, with everything you could need provided, in the most perfect location with fantastic views. Just a few minutes walk to shops, lake, pubs and a lovely park just across the road. Instructions and guide sent by text/email from the host gave all the information needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in the future.

Lovely location with fab views. Less than 5 mins into town centre. Parking spot which we just left car in for the time we were there. Excellent facilities and equipment. We tended to go out walking during the day and ate in at night. Easy to prepare and cook what we had brought. Netflix kept us entertained. So warm and cosy - prob why we didn`t go out in evenings! Third visit in 2 years and will be back.

The accommodation was overall good if a little small. Quality of facilities was good and location excellent. However there needs to be some honesty on where the parking is situated it is not behind the accommodation exactly and you need to carry your luggage quite a distance from your car to the front door as you cannot park directly outside to unload. Second issue and not one that cannot be resolved so easily is that other tenants in the building do not close / shut the front door on entering or exciting so leading to a security issue. Maybe an agreed sign could be placed by the door reminding people to do this.

Skiddaw View is an excellent apartment located within walking distance of the centre of Keswick. Very comfortable for 2 people with everything you could need for a short stay. So nice to have such a big comfortable sofa in an apartment for 2! Parking space waa a bonus too. Couldn't fault a thing apart from the low cloud obscuring the view of Skiddaw!! Having stayed in numerous places in and around Keswick, this is one we would definitely come back too.

The flat is ideally located just 50m away from the restaurants and shops in Keswick. It is well presented with large settee in the lounge and large tv. The kitchen is small but has everything you need for your stay. The bedroom is large with a comfortable bed and plenty of hanging space. It has a bath and combined shower. All you need for a comfortable stay.

We had a lovely week staying at Skiddaw View. The flat was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and in a very handy position close to town. One possible drawback to note is it is beside a busy (in the summer anyway) and therefore quite noisy road. It won’t bother everyone and even though it did wake me up, overall I liked the flat enough that I would stay there again. Keswick Cottages need to update their arrival information - you are met with numerous key safes beside the door and the information KC supply to identify the right safe is not correct - the key safe does not have a cover, and is not black (presumably because it no longer has a cover). Also the property iPad does not provide any useful info about the property except the day of bin collection.

Property very nice, well looked after. Lovely views of Skiddaw from flat so certainly lived up to it's name. Right in the heart of Keswick with easy access to Fitz park across the road for walkies with the dog. Staff very helpful when we had a bit of difficulty with the key safe on arrival. Someone came straight across to help. Would definitely recommend.

All windows face the same way, which means it gets hot in the sun, but on busy road, so don't want to open windows. Tablet for information has nothing about how to work things. Also, I accidentally logged out, while trying to find information about checking out, where to put rubbish, etc. and the tablet wouldn't allow me back in, so I had no info. The TV and hob took a bit of figuring out, with no info. The parking space is actually not that near the flat. Also, no info given about how to access the parking space which has a post in it! I did figure out that the other key provided infact unlocks the post to allow it to be laid flat, but it is a bit of a palaver having to work things out on arrival! There was very little disturbance from other residents and, apart from the traffic, it was quiet, comfortable and pleasant. Very convenient location for town, busses, walks etc.

Excellent customer service from Keswick Cottages. Skiddaw View is a lovely first floor flat with great views to Skiddaw. Clean & comfortable it has a large bedroom with a comfortable bed & plenty storage. The hall shelving provided ample space for all the bits & pieces eg walking gear, dog toys etc. Specious clean bathroom with plenty hot water. The lounge & kitchen were quite small but perfectly formed. Lovely comfy sofa for an evening of Netflix. Fitz Park great for those early morning walks with our dog. Saturday is market day so lots of fresh food to fill the fridge & larder. Keswick has lots of lovely walks & we could have spent our whole week walking there but having a dedicated parking space gave us the freedom to go off to some of our other favourite walks Grasmere to Ambleside via Rydal Water (the Badger for refreshments), Coniston Lake (coffee at the Herdwick excellent biggest ever bacon buttie) and Hawkshead (the Little Ice Cream Shop). And many more places. Bonus, we managed to miss the one heavy downpour & had decent weather.

The apartment was extremely clean and warm and very welcoming on our arrival. Bed was very comfortable, slightly disappointed it was only a double but still comfortable. Everything you could need in the kitchen and heating remained constant to keep apartment warm. Only negative point was the noise from stairs where people came in and out late at night as walls very thin.

We stayed for a week at Skiddaw View , the apartment was very centrally located to all the Shops, bars & restaurants . We were traveling on a motorbike & there was parking at the rear . There were lots of walking nearby & a great bus service to many other towns if needed. The apartment was very clean, modern and cosy . Just what you need when it is raining outside . They also have an airing cupboard to dry your wet clothes ( very useful ) A great view of Skiddaw from your bed !! The staff at Keswick Cottages across the street were very friendly & helpful .

This flat was in a great central location. It was comfortable and well equipped with all we needed for our stay. We did have a couple of minor issues which Rebecca and Antony of Keswick Cottages resolved quickly as they were very approachable and had a lovely helpful manner. There was scaffolding around the flats which we were made aware of prior to stay ,it did obscure view but did not disrupt our holiday . we had a great holiday and would certainly book this accommodation again in the future.

I just want to note that the customer service we received was absolutely excellent. From the moment we booked I felt that the people on the other end of the phone actually cared about our stay. Furthermore, just to enhance this, when we arrived, the television was broken , once it was reported we felt that Keswick Cottages did their upmost to rectify the issue in the most efficient and professional way possible. I’ve stayed in Keswick with all the holiday let companies but I’ve got to say that Keswick Cottages provide the most friendly , caring and professional service out of them all !! Well done to them !!!!

We’ve just got back from our stay at Skiddaw view and we’re very impressed. The apartment is perfectly located in the centre of Keswick, we didn’t need to use the car at all over our long weekend which was a blessing! The apartment was perfect for myself, my partner and our dog and had everything we needed for our stay, with fantastic views. Lots of bars, restaurants and cafes nearby and a good starting point for walks of all abilities. I would particularly recommend Jaspers coffee house down the road for breakfast! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely compact apartment in centre of Keswick. Lovely views from windows and all amenities close by. Flat had everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfy too. The only thing that did not work was the Keswick cottages information tablet but that was not a problem at all as they keep in touch via email. An enjoyable 2nd trip to this apartment and the fifth time we have used Keswick Cottages.
