A deceptively spacious cottage, Hastings has views of Latrigg from the lounge and front double bedroom. It benefits from private parking to the rear of the cottage and has outside seating in its enclosed rear courtyard. With a downstairs shower room with a large walk-in shower while upstairs there is a luxury free standing bath.
Situated in a quiet residential area, the cottage is just ten minutes’ walk from the shores of beautiful Dewentwater, with its lake cruises, rowing boats, Theatre by the Lake and the famous viewpoint of Friars Cragg. It’s also just five minutes’ level walk to Keswick town centre and its wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions, including the world famous Pencil Museum, Keswick Art Gallery and Museum and the original Alhambra Cinema. Hastings is perfectly situated with a choice of fell top hiking and low level walks available straight from the front door, and is the perfect cottage for a quiet scenic break or for enjoying the wide range of outdoor activities Keswick has to offer.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hastings. Very cosy. Kitchen fully equipped with everything that you need, was fantastic to have a dishwasher. The only negative is one of the mattresses on the single beds was lacking support and my adult son found it uncomfortable. Car parking space a bonus but as mentioned in the description will on!y fit a small car although we were lucky enough to get a parking space right outside.

Perfect little getaway. Right in the centre of Keswick but so quiet. It was great to have a parking space despite it being a little tricky to manoeuvre into it. The house was immaculate. We were warned that some 'multi touch' items may have been removed due to COVID19 and it seemed a shame that there were no cushions and none of the usual books and games in the lounge, so recommend you bring your own for extra comfort and convenience. The place did have a lovely feel to it though and we would definitely return.

Hastings is a lovely and deceptively spacious cottage , an easy 5 minutes stroll from Keswick centre. It is equipped with everything you could want and more besides, even towels and tea towels. As others have commented, the parking space is difficult to access for a larger car , so as we have a VW Estate we managed to park directly in front of the house and had no reason to move it for the whole week as we walked everywhere. I would recommend getting there well before the 3pm key Collection time to get a decent parking space near the cottage before the rush, the office is only a few minutes walk to collect the key after having a look around the shops and maybe a beer . All in all we would definitely return to Hastings , much better and more spacious than other cottages we have stayed in and out Labrador loved it too !

Superb location for easy access to Keswick.
Compact, clean & cosy accommodation for 4 people.
Car parking space at rear is only really suitable for small cars.
