Very clean and convenient for the local bars, shops, restaurants, cafes and near the lake and walking trails.
It was noisy/lively in the courtyard below most nights but especially Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Live singers and bands! I didn't mind but some would struggle, especially if trying to get a child to bed. It was tricky to find the property on arrival and unloading was awkward. There were excellent instructions about where to drop off INSIDE the property! They provided a parking permit so the stay was trouble free.

Convenient location close to Keswick town centre and buses to many great hill walking locations. The main window looks out over an attractive pedestrians-only courtyard which had a lively cafe/bar atmosphere during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. The flat is comfortable and well equipped for self catering (but see comment on cooker below). The shower is great - powerful and came hot quickly.
A few maintenance items needed attention - fridge door didn't close properly and its handle was coming loose, front door key didn't engage well and often had to be turned many times to get it to open. Cooker was an old style electric hob (slow to heat up and then slow to turn down) and oven didn't have temperature settings - just numbers. Approach to front door felt a bit shabby - very dirty steps and window sills. Instructions told us to put rubbish in the outside black bin, but they're wasn't one. We were also expected to take recycling to council locations elsewhere in the town, but no recycling bin was provided. Furniture was adequate but some felt a bit basic, such as the laminate-topped dining table. It lacked the little touches that make you feel welcome, such as a jug of milk in the fridge, or a cookie to eat after a long journey - after 5 hours on trains and buses, I had to walk to the Co-op at the other end of the town to buy milk before I could even have a cup of tea. (And then when I got back and started cooking I discovered the salt cellar was almost empty. There is actually a Premier much nearer than the Co-op but Google didn't show it and there wasn't much local info in the flat.

Great location and generally well equipped. A few small changes would make a big difference but as it stands I wouldn't probably stay again because of them.
The wifi was awful. I know you don't go on holiday for the wifi but we couldn't use the apps on the TV in the evening, my daughter had to submit work to Uni and I needed to send some work emails and we couldn't do any of it in the flat so had to hunt out wifi elsewhere. Generally the place could do with a refresh - the basics were clean but things like skirting and paintwork needs a deep clean or refresh. 9am checkout seems totally unnecessary bearing in mind you can't check in until 4pm - if you're staying one night you're barely in the place. There is a little noise from the bars outside but nothing too bad imo.

Central to town to get round to see lakes, close to lots of bars and food places. Close to Honister mine. Lots of walks close by. Pencil museum worth a visit and stone circle. Will came again.
The property needs some TLC - entry into property a bit dicey- lock needs looking at. Internet a bit dicey too at times. Noisy in the mornings when cafe puts out tables and chairs at 6 am.
