Sleepers

Paintwork needed a touch up, some marks on walls etc which you would not expect at the beginning of the season. skirting boards and stair spindles need a good dust, also grease marks on hob surround and crumbs left in toaster. The duvet cover would not fasten.

we loved being within walking distance to town and being able to watch the trains. We also like having the living room upstairs. Beds were very comfy.

Nothing really

The location is great for strolling into town, allocated parking, close to Ruswarp using the railway path. House is warm and cosy with all amenities needed. Fantastic views over the harbour, river and car park. Bedrooms downstairs made them much cooler in a seasonally warm week which was fab. Well presented and very clean. Owner Richard rang to check in on us and if we were happy with everything.

Nothing really, but a welcome pack with essentials would have been nice, although not detrimental to not have

I booked this accommodation last minute and it was a good price. The parking space is a real bonus, a god send in Whitby. It has upside down living, bedrooms downstairs and an entrance on both levels. Lovely and clean on arrival, warm, well equipped, light & bright with great view. The view overlooks the train lines, lovely to see the trains, especially the steam train, didn't disturb us at all, overlooks the large carpark with extensive views beyond, of the river Esk/harbour, Whitby town and Abbey. We Came to Whitby to see the illuminated Abbey which you could actually see from the property which was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of crockery & pans with a good size fridge/freezer. There is a dish washer and washer/dryer. we didn't actually use either but good to have. Nice to have toilets on both floors. Plenty of information, parking disks and internet worked well. Nice bedding and plenty of towels. We really liked the area, quiet and only a short distance into the centre, its a nice easy, flat walk into town. Direct access across the railway lines for walking or carpark access for guests. The outside area was tidy and looked well kept we didn't use the patio area but would be lovely during summer. We had a lovely week and would defiantly book this accommodation again

Only our personal preference not a criticism bed was to soft for us and just a suggestion only... maybe move the thin white unit in the bathroom and put up a handrail on that wall/tiles to help with stepping in and out of the bath to use the shower.
