The property was clean and presentable with all the amenities within.
The stairs to the bedroom area could be better.

Everything. A little hamlet set deep in the countryside.
The road to the accommodation was very bumpy in places. My little car was struggling in places

Just a lovely little cottage
I got a bit lost finding it - but that is my fault rather than theirs

The whole experience of just finding a little gem off the beaten track was astounding, as was the extremly warm reception when we arrived
The keys were in the door and a welcome gift was left for us!
This getaway is highly recommended by us.
It would suit couples and solo travellers.
The balcony bedroom is very spacious ( no banging of the head here )
Beautifully decor with soothing tones

Very clean and tidy. Well equipped, we had everything we needed. A peaceful place where you can relax and recharge. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back 🥰
I personally didn’t dislike this but you need to be careful of the steep stairs

Cosy and quiet. Perfectly placed for a retreat from the world.
Stairs were a bit dodgy for the wife and I. We’re not spring chickens anymore!

What didn’t we like, loved the the cottage, the area and all with it, the cottage was lovely clean and welcoming with some wine and a helpful welcoming note
Only thing was shower seemed to be abit low, the shower head didn’t seem to go high enough while on the stand, very minor thing over all

Cosy and pretty cottage in beautiful surroundings
the bathroom facilities- the hot tap was very temperamental and the electric shower was not powerful enough for washing long hair
7.0 / 10.0
cosy and has lots of character in scenic countryside
caretaker very helpful
lots of cobwebs on walls and ceilings
the bed was too small(short and narrow)for two adults over 5ft 5
no bath in bathroom or footstool in living room would have made stay more comfortable
stairs were narrow and hard to climb up and down

Lovely peaceful place. Not far from Ulverston.
We could find everything what we needed during our stay.
If you are a Cat lover you can find a Little friends asking for cuddles
We had some problem with Wi-Fi. Couldn't connect with router

It was very well set-up and maintained. A lot is provided as far as kitchen utensils. Sleep was very comfortable and there were no issues with the shower, hot water or heating throughout our stay. The log fire was a nice touch. The cottage was perfectly located for us as all our planned activities were a short drive away - walks up to old man of Coniston and Harrison stickle - Stickle Tarn. We could also go for calm picturesque walks around the farms in the vicinity. The owners have taken great care to be welcoming. We plan on returning some time in the future.
