Swallow Cottage

Stunning location, attention to detail. Lots of homely finishing touches. Super super clean! Great friendly and helpful hosts, would recommend to anyone and will look forward to re booking in the future.

The cottage was clean quiet and in stunning surroundings very well equipped and quirky.Good parking lovely views fabulous interior we were in town for a gig in Scarborough and the location was perfect.

The major point that let's this down is the departure and for this, the reason we wouldn't return simply as checkout is 9.30am and you have to strip your own beds and towels etc bag it all up yourself. Never have I stayed anywhere where this is a thing bad enough wanting us out on a Sunday morning at 9.30am but to ask us to do chamber maid duties was quite unbelievable!.Such a shame as other than the shower only being hand held ( understandable with the,low ceilings)the cottage was lovely by moving the checkout to 10 or 11 and doing the laundry themselves we would of returned. Sadly when we return to the area we shall look elsewhere.

The cottage is lovely in every aspect, an the host gave use very useful tips for things to do nearby. Really appreciated the free fuel for the stove.

Only one tiny - and negligible - detail: the cold water tap in. The kitchen sink opens the wrong way around, so you can find yourself getting the tap wide open when you actually want to close it. Everything else was simply spotless

We were so happy when we entered the cottage. It was very cosy and amazingly clean. The grounds surrounding the cottage were beautifully kept and the property was immaculate throughout. The wood burner topped it off perfectly. Our dog Benny was in his element lying in front of the fire every night and running round the orchard.

We loved everything
