I stayed at Cinnamon Guesthouse Dogo for three nights. Its been a wonderful time for me. I made friends from many countries there. Atmosphere around there was very friendly and supportive, especially the Shimpei-San, the owner of that place. I would recommend everyone who are planning to visit alone Matsuyama should stay there. Moreover, it is very convenient to get to every corner of Matsuyama from Dogo either by Bus or Tram. Dogo Onsen itself is very attractive and charming place.
It is not about dislike but have a suggestion. Kindly put some hanging bars in the bathrooms doors to hang the clothes rather than putting on the floor in the basket. I hope it will be more helpful. It is not a negative point just my suggestion. Actually, I forgot to tell you before leaving.

This affordable hostel is minutes away from Dogo onsen, one of the most known in Japan.
Dorms were pretty big, and not as packed with people as can be seen at times, making for relatively acceptable level of noise and ventilation.
No toilet of the 2nd floor, so you must walk all the way through the lounge to get to the toilets there, which can be quite painful in the middle of the night. No laundry either, so you need to walk to a laundromat a few minutes away for that.

The location is perfect, staff nice and the place is clean and feels good. The price is very reasonable.
The main purpose of a hostel is to sleep and this didnt work. The airconditioning in the room was so loud I could hear it even with earplugs deep in. Also the wooden bunk beds make noise with every move and when the person above me was moving (quite normal even if asleep) and it kept me awake. My moving made the noises too, so for the other one above it must have been unpleasant as well.
