Excellent value in delightful Mijas Pueblo

Mijas Pueblo itself is delightful. The apartment is very well located for anyone (with a car, natch) needing early morning access to Málaga airport. I stayed with a relative, and having two bedrooms was essential. For all that alone, the apartment is very good value indeed. Jesús who brought us the keys was great and WhatsApped a ton of info about recommended places to eat in the pueblo. For what it is I'd definitely book it again.

The second bedroom (mine) has no windows. The kettle thermostat didn't work and spilled boiling water all over the worktop. Nothing happened but it was a potential major burn hazard. I reported this to Jesús and he said would check, as I'm sure he has. In general the electrics in the apartment could do with some attention.

Amazing little central apartment

Amazing little apartment, in the centre of the village. Great location, very close to cafes and restaurants and next door to a supermarket. The apartment had everything we needed, coffee machine, great TV, WiFi, air conditioning. Lovely decorated with quirky wallpaper. shared pool upstairs clean and tidy with sunbeds, pool a bit cold but ok. Very helpful friendly host. Came with just my husband but would bring the children for a visit as we had a great time. Mijas is a lovely village with friendly people, great restaurants and shops.

Beds are a bit hard, but everyone has their own preference. There is a loud ticking clock on the oven! We had to stuff a pillow In front of it to dull the sound. Maybe a different bin to separate and recycle.

We found the place very noisy ..bar below, motorcycles going up and down all night. On are last day there there was a smell of suage coming from the bathroom . Could be from the rain ?

Definitely worth a stay but be aware of the parking issues.

The host, Jesus, is excellent. He's friendly and helpful. The apartment is clean with good kitchen facilities (couldn't get the oven to work though). It's located within easy walking distance of Mijas pueblo and its bars and restaurants.

The booking.com website says that parking is available on-site. It's not. The parking is 250 metres away down a steep hill in the public car park. The cost is (at the time of writing) just under 10 Euros per 24 hours. This was an unwelcome additional cost to us, already on a tight budget, never mind having to walk up the steep hill with an ankle injury. There is a flatter route if you get the car park lift to the top of the building and the main square, which only adds a 100 metres but you have to know about that route first. Booking.com should have picked up on that to clarify the parking but another failure on their part (haven't had a happy time with them this year).

Fantastic stay in the centre of Mijas Pueblo

The apartment itself is in a fantastic location, right in the centre of Mijas Pueblo and right next to shops, cafés and restaurants. The owner communicated with us right up to our arrival and explained how everything worked. Their help with our son was exceptional. They put up a travel cot and high chair for us and plenty of towels for baths. The apartment is lovely, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. Coffee, tea and water in the fridge plus ice in the freezer were lovely touches for weary travellers and the kitchen is fully fitted Bathroom with plenty towels and air conditioning in the apartment if you need it. Cannot fault the apartment at all, it is excellent. 😊

The only reason we didn’t score higher was that sadly the swimming pool was in a terrible state and having the pool was one of the main reasons we booked this particular apartment as we were travelling with our baby boy. The photo showed a pristine blue pool but the reality at this time of year is a dark, dirty, algae-lined pool that the residents of the block clearly don’t pay to maintain in the autumn/winter. This is not the host’s fault but I guess our feedback would maybe be to mark the pool as out of use in the winter season to prevent disappointment? In the end, we had plenty swimming down at the beach but having a swim in the pool would have made the stay perfect.

good location. homely apartment, everything you could need for a short or long stay. the host/owner was very helpful and accommodating for us to check in and out

shower head needs a riser fitted so you can use the shower properly. a €20 Job that would make all the difference. and I couldn’t make the oven work. but that might just be something I was doing wrong.

Great location, very nice flat, very helpful landlords!

It was in a perfect location, in the middle of the village. Landlord was exceptionally helpful, and arranged to give me the keys at our convenience. The flat had everything we could have needed as a family. Even baby bath and high chair. Very good value for money. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

El apartamento, perfecto. Jesús, el chico que vino a darnos las llaves, tuvo un trato exquisito con nosotros. Nos explicó todo con mucho detalle y nos ayudó a encontrar sitios donde poder comer teniendo intolerancias alimenticias. La ubicación, también excelente.

La única pega que podemos poner es que el aire no iba muy bien y que la piscina estaba cerrada. Por lo demás, hemos tenido una muy buena experiencia.

Cuando más conozco al ser humano más quiero a mi perro

Saqué por booking de forma urgente por un asunto familiar grave ese apartamento, booking me dio la opción de marcar un horario de entrada que nunca debería de estar disponible ni poderse cliquear, puse mi horario de llegada que eran 3 horas después de la reserva por tanto (no era reembolsable) viajaba desde Ceuta, en ferry más luego coche con 2 niños pequeñitos , el dueño a posteriori me dijo q a esa hora no podía entrar una vez ya pagado ,le mandé audios y el a mi, dándome vueltas y rodeos , yo le suplicaba q cuando booking se cobrara la comisión por favor me devolviera el resto de dinero , q eso tenía fácil solución, q era una cuestión de caridad cristiana y empatía , así q el señor decía q NO , q anulará algo q el sabía que no podía porque quedaban horas para entrar al apartamento, sin embargo tampoco me dejó entrar en dicho apartamento pq decía q no había nadie para entregarme la llave. Me ví tiradisima y desesperada y tuve q gastar otro dinero más en un HOTEL. No se cono serán sus instalaciones pero su poca vergüenza de 10 y su empatía de 0. Se lo rogué ya q no era mi culpa no poder entrar cuando booking me dio la opción de clicar mi horario de llegada. No es q yo no hiciera el viaje señores , es que me dijo q a esa hora yo no entraba con mis hijos. Y no me quiso devolver nada , ni la mitad ,ni entero. Que se lo gaste en medicinas esta navidad ,yo tengo un piso en garrucha por booking y jamás se me hubiera ocurrido no devolver el importe íntegro ,pq soy yo la q pone el impedimento o me hubiera buscado las mañas para entregarle a una familia entera q se vio en la calle , las llaves sea como sea. Un auténtico sinvergüenza que no utilicé su apartamento pq no me dejó entrar pero sin embargo no fue capaz de negociar algo , algún reembolso q saliéramos ganando los 2 o bien cambiarlo por otro día y no perderlo y yo con mucho agrado hubiera hecho un viajecito de 2 o 3 días con mis niños y hasta hubiera salido ganando el.

Ubicación perfecta y tranquila

La tranquilidad que daba estar en el apartamento, además se estaba súper bien porque venía con aire acondicionado, y la habitación que tuve me gustó mucho. Jesús, el anfitrión, fue muy simpático con nosotros, da gusto tratar con buenas personas.

Caldissimo e rumoroso. Condizionatore spento senza telecomando. Per respirare bisognava tenere la finestra aperta in un traffico continuo che sembrava di dormire in aitostrada.
