What an absolute jewel of a property in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood within easy, safe walking distance to the picturesque village centre where a plethora of bars, coffee shops, eateries, shops and the fabulous TukTuk microbrewery (historic beers and exceptional food!). This 3-unit property is set in beautiful well-maintained gardens with a lovely plunge pool and off-street secure parking. Each self-contained unit in the cottage had a private patio and we hardly noticed the other guests as they went about their day. The property itself is generously apportioned with all you could need for your stay. Super-comfy and fresh bed, linen and pillows and spacious bathroom with complementary products. Instructions on how to get to and access the property were clear and concise - very helpful when you're on a grand driving tour! The property is also within a 20 minute stroll of the Franschhoek Wine Tram depot (a tour that must be done). We loved this place and have no hesitation recommending Eight on Tuin. Thanks to the owners for keeping the property in such a welcoming, cosy and cared-for state.

Location, the size and garden area
We noticed a slight damp smell throughout our stay, which I noticed had transferred to some of our clothes when we reached our next accommodation.

Good location and easy to walk into town. Very private, quiet road.
Plunge pool needs a good clean - no one at the property when we were there felt able to use it.
