Oomukou Ryokan

Had an amazing stay at this little ryokan with an unbeatable location. The staff was absolutely wonderful, the inn was spotless and breakfast was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend getting the breakfast which is carefully prepared every morning and very reasonably priced. It's close to everything - 1 min walk to rental shop, 7 min walk to bus station, 15 min walk to Happo One and 20 min walk to the popular bars

It was a perfect stay for us. The rooms are really big by the Japanese standards, we had room for our clothes etc and even a place to sit down and drink our tea. The location is superb, you can walk to one of the ski resorts without needing a shuttle, and there are lots of shops and restaurants around within a short walking distance. The onsen was a great bonus after each day on the slopes. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again!

There was nothing we didn't like

The staff were lovely;the location made everything easy; the Japanese breakfast delicious; and an ofuro after skiing was perfect.

Very friendly staff, clean and large rooms, very traditional Japanese.
