Walking distance to Bowness-on-Windermere, hence the cruises, ferry, and lakeside walks. Short drive to Grassmere and Rydal Water. A bit longer to get to Ulster, Derwent Water and Coniston.

Grocery shopping has to be done in Kendall, as local supermarkets don't stock much.

It was a lovely, clean property. With things you needed inside.

It should be stated that it’s listed right on the drive of someone’s home. We felt we had to keep the blinds and curtains shut at all times as we were being watched. At check out they knocked on bang on 10am which I felt a bit intrusive as I was just out of the bathroom. The bed was quite small in the main bedroom, although very good quality bedding and mattress, it’s a small bed in a room that could fit a a slightly bigger one.

Great location nice and quiet but not far to the shops , spotless inside, really comfortable and warm, the kitchen had everything needed for a self catering stay, the living area was comfortable and cosy as was the bedroom. Pam was lovely and very helpful. A great find and can’t wait to stay again.

There was nothing to dislike.

The property had recently been refurbished so was very clean and the kitchen area was well equipped. The sitting area was comfortable and there was a folder full of local information which was helpful. There is a TV, DVD recorder plus games should they be required. We were fortunate to have good weather and so spent time enjoying sitting at the outdoor patio table

We were asked to provide our own towels but a small hand towel provided by the property would have been helpful.
