When the surrounding landscape inspires you, step out and embark on a scenic walk to the summit of Orrest Head (0.5 miles), where sweeping views of the lakes and fells will take your breath away. You'll be just moments from the heart of buzzing Windermere, where you can enjoy a wide choice of outdoor gear shops, places to eat and drink, plus galleries, live events and plenty more. Bowness-on-Windermere (1.5 miles) charms with its waterfront shops and cafes; you can also board a scenic cruise from here to chug peacefully towards Ambleside and Lakeside.
Step inside this impressive Lakeland retreat, kick off your muddy walking boots in the entrance, and walk through to the property's social heart – the light-filled open-plan living space. This airy room combines a well-appointed kitchen with a restful lounge area and contemporary dining space – offering the perfect base to relax between days of outdoor adventure together. Unwind in the lounge as you sink into the soft seating, flick on the Smart TV, and fire up the roaring wood burner. When stomachs rumble, you'll find everything needed in the kitchen to cook up a Lakeland feast, which can be enjoyed at the long wooden dining table or alfresco out in the courtyard garden.
