Nice but very remote

Just The room and the reception person Niko . He really tried to help us and made a nice breakfast accommodating our dietary needs

the place was not easy to find with hard walking rocky and difficult to get to if we have had any carry on or luggage we would definitely had them destroyed to get there Nothing open to eat near by Very remote from everything . Although we wanted to support places like these , and stay away from popular villages near by it’s not easy as they don’t make it appealing and accommodating to visitors The village itself is very unkept and kind of abandoned looking although it was mid of September it looked like no one has lived there for years

Sumptuous accommodation and hosting

We loved the uniqueness of the village and the clever way in which the guest house had been renovated. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was luxurious. Nicolas was a very empathetic host who perfectly knew how to behave and look after us. Plus his baking skills ( yummy apple cake and cheese pie) and the huge scrumptious breakfast left us feeling very special.

It’s set in an amazing and beautiful traditional settlement- Dilofo. The views from the village are exceptional looking out and across the area. You could not find a more peaceful location. The property is beautifully kept and Marios the owner is incredibly caring and does everything he can to make your stay amazing.

Great hospitality in the most beautiful village of Zagorochoria!

In a nushell: The room was very well equipped, cozy, clean and the bed really comfortable. There is a good ambience and nice vibes in all the areas of the property, lounge and the small tarrace. The breakfast was great and balanced. Marios, who is the owner, made us feel at home while he gave us really helpful tips for our excursions. Its really important that he cares a lot to provide his guests with high level hospitality. The location of the village that the property is located is really good if you want to wander and visit some small villages of Zagorochoria. We felt very glad and satisfied we chose Aithrio for our stay and thank you Marios for helping us make the most out of our trip!!!

We can always find negative things to mention if we really have/want to! But everything was so great that we really have nothing to say. Even if there was a minor thing (which was mentioned to the owner), we really enjoyed our stay in Aithrio and we would definately stay there again in the future. And this is what matters the most!

Amazing and so cozy guesthouse!

We had an incredible stay at this guesthouse! The room was so cozy and comfortable, with a fireplace, luxurious bath products, an espresso machine, and a mini bar. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a small present and a bottle of tsipouro as welcoming gifts - a thoughtful touch that really made us feel appreciated. Our host, Marios, was fantastic! He was so friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for local sights, coffee shops, and restaurants. The breakfast was also top-notch, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. We can't recommend this guesthouse enough, and we will definitely be returning in the future!

The place was modern with good facilities but also maintained the traditional signature of the village. Cozy atmosphere with a safe fireplace inside the room and a big screen with access to Netflix.

Marvellous for a short summer trip, and a must to revisit in winter.

We were up for a cosy suite and we came up with an excellent place to stay. It exceeded our expectations. Perfect for family trips. Suburb traditional breakfast, all made snd served by the host himself. The kids loved it and rated it with a 10. Additionaly, Marios (host) prepared some serious daily trip advisory plans for us, as a bonus of our staying.

A cute, cozy guesthouse with a wonderful host

Marios is such a great host and cook! His breakfast was incredible! The guesthouse is so cozy and authentic Very comfortable bed We loved walking around the little village and taking photos The mini fridge was stocked with free water, juice, and wine!

The room is a bit small, not much space except for resting on the bed As mentioned in the property's description, the parking is located 200m away. Marios came to help us carry our bags, thank you!

EVERYTHING! This place is amazing! One of the best accommodation experiences I had. The place is designed beautifully, the rooms are spot clean, spacious, with an amazing bed. The bathroom is equipped with a Japanese shower and bathrobes. We had wine and drinks in the mini bar. The breakfast was made daily to order by our amazing host and we got a full day plan each day to hike, traval and eat around the area. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality! Can't wait to come back again.

Nothing. It was all great. The one thing to note is that there is a walk from the parking through the village pavement and ancient streets. It's a 2-3 min walk, not bad at all.

Amazing experience - best hotel ever!

Aithrio is one of the most amazing places we’ve stayed and we’ve travelled a lot. The room has all the amenities of a 5* super luxurious hotel yet it blends harmonically with the architecture of the village. Marios is an amazing host that is always a step ahead to make sure the guests have everything they need. Dilofo is one of the nicest villages in Zagorochoria and the restaurant in the village has amazing food with a great view! I wish we could stay longer! We highly recommend this place if you are considering visiting Zagorochoria!

Beautiful place, wonderful hospitality

Our stay at Aithrio was absolutely perfect. Aithrio manages to keep the village's authentic atmosphere whilst having great and modern facilities (great shower, fireplace, large flat screen TV with Netflix, espresso machine). The place has only five rooms so it has a home feeling to it. Above all, Marios was just terrific. He had recommendations prepared in accordance to our time there and our group type. Everyday he had the fireplace ready for us, and his homemade breakfests were delicious. When part of the group had to leave early in the morning, Marios got up especially early, just to make them coffee and sandwiches to take with them. Definitely recommend

There is a 3 min' walk from the parking space at the entrance to the village to the hotel, on a road not really paved. Not too much of a trouble though.

Loved the room and how cozy it felt! There were treats when we arrived! Everyday our mini bar was refilled! Huge Tv which was amazing as other establishments don’t bother! Always Breakfast was really good! Marios is an amazing chef, every morning sth different! Marios was an incredible host! very helpful even when I called just to ask where to go! Poor guy! He even had a plan on what to do every day!

Superb

We spent four nights in Aithrio hotel after New Years with my boyfriend. The hotel is just so cute and the rooms really nice (reminded a lot boutique hotel but adjusted to mountains interior). We loved the small details in interior and decorations (also adjusted to Christmas period) and all the details like wood outside our door every day. Felt like real mountain holiday 🙃 also the guy at the reception was super friendly and helpful, chatting with us every morning at breakfast.

The only minus of the hotel is the location. We expected Dilofo to be more developed but we found out that the village has only 1 taverna and few houses so the atmosphere was a bit ghost village. However if someone really likes a super super calm holiday that is the perfect place to go :)

Can't say enough good things about this place!

We ended up here by accident, after a nearby hotel canceled our reservation at the last minute due to being overbooked (this shouldn't happen on Booking.com, but it did). Aithrio's host, Marios, was fantastic. He was very helpful, gave us lots of useful information about the area, and was very entertaining besides. And he's a superb cook who made us a grand breakfast! The hotel appears to be newly remodeled and is very charming. Our room was ultra comfortable. Even though we were annoyed and inconvenienced by being suddenly bounced out of the other hotel, it turned out our one-night stay at Aithrio was exceptionally pleasant.

Going back in time with modern comfort

If you look for a trip to relax and stay on a nice place look no further. Our room was a pleasant surprise compared to the pictures, it's way way better in real life. The village is very quiet and has really nice places to eat around. Highlights of the trip was the super breakfast and the amazing hospitality of Marios', he is by far the best hotel manager I met in my trips all this years. Keep up the good work my friend

The suite is great. The bathroom also great. Everything is with good taste. The hospitality is good. Breakfast is tasty.

This really disturbed me. Also the wifi didn't workat first. after i disconnected it, it started to work but very slowly.
